Deadpool

It is a slow building climax towards the massive 50th episode and Daniel Way has us completely on the slow burn. So what is behind the whole Deadpool versus Deadpool thing anyway? Deadpool is an assassin who kills people. Basically that makes him evil right? Well not exactly. Daniel Way is switching gears on us a little bit and giving us some more insightful information into how Deadpool (the main one) really feels about himself and views himself. While at the same time, Deadpool (the evil one) knows all of this and is trying to do the opposite to prove a very good point to Deadpool (the main one).
Confused? You shouldn’t be. It is Deadpool after all. It is getting a little repetitious but at the same time as this arc heads towards a close we might have the opportunity to really get back to the roots of the character. At least I hope so. Overall this book moves at good pace, has some fun dialogue, and good action sequences. The art is solid work by Salva again with great expressions. The only thing that really ever lacks is background details. But in this particular issue with the plot so character centric having the full art focus on them is very appropriate.
So my only big question is where will it go from here? Will Deadpool go back more to his roots and then burst forth in a spurt of originality? Or has some of the mainstream affect of his popularity burned this once bright flame too hot and caused a character burnout? I am hoping that Daniel Way has the next steps clearly planned out because overall this has been a pretty darn good run for 49 issues and I want it to keep going!

Daniel Way has really stepped up his game these last ten or so issues. Hopefully, he ends his his run with a bang.
Oh, and it’s important to remember that #50 starts off a 5-issue arc, so D. Way is staying around at least that long. Spread the word- Deadpool does not end at #50!
