Johnny Darkness Says:
Thor #339 (v1) : They like his horse... face.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Doc Savage #7 (v1) : Maybe because of coloring/printing reasons. Purple, red, blue yellow, wouldn't look very good next to brown, maybe. I'm just guessing.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Marvel Team-Up #19 (v1) : Personally, I think his hypersexualized adventures are amusing.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Fantastic Four vs. The X-Men #1 : That opening was really intense.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
The Ghost Rider #2a : What the... I had no idea Frazetta showed up in the Order. Cool.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Alpha Flight #63 (v1) : Judging by the title, that's a very good possibility.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Marvel Two-in-One #26 : I think Ron Wilson did Grimm better than anyone.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Cage #6 (v1) : Also, the last panel was not good.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Cage #6 (v1) : This series is almost good. But not quite. I've probably said this before.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Tales to Astonish #60b (v1) : I don't like how Ditko draws Hulk.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Tales to Astonish #59 (v1) : Favorite line: "Nothing is important to the Hulk!"

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Incredible Hulk #6 (v1) : The thing with the Hulk mask was pointless and annoying.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
New Warriors #2 (v1) : Hmm, it must have been incorrectly listed as David back when I wrote that comment. Makes much more sense now.

Johnny Darkness Says:
Namor the Sub-Mariner #2 : It's totally underrated.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Captain America #6 Annual : I love the cover art.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Marvel Team-Up #76 (v1) : He wrote so much X-Men, I sometimes forget Claremont wrote on other books! Also, Witch Queen of New Orleans is a hideous villain name.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Thor #427 (v1) : Surprisingly, I really like this era of Thor. It has a fun, lighthearted quality to it. But I had to subtract a star for the illusion Juggernaut bit.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
The Punisher #93 (v2) : That was dark...

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Fantastic Four #343 (v1) : I loved the art, I loved the alternate timeline and the doomsday scenario. Cyborg Stalin gets it an extra star, for five stars!!

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Fantastic Four #343 (v1) : Johnny is a Twin Peaks fan. You can add that to the Marvel Handbook.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Marvel Premiere #43 : I wish the villain was better.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Thor #238 (v1) : I was going to mention the "thrusting into groins" line, but deeplennon beat me to it.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Doctor Strange #43 (v2) : Doc Strange looks pretty funny on the cover.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Thor #251 (v1) : Wow, that was just a quality comic, from start to finish. Great storytelling, dripping with Asgardian atmosphere. Valhalla was awesome, no cliche ending. I haven't read a lot of Thor, but this might be the best issue I've read yet.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
The Incomplete Death[appost]s Head... : It's amusing how much I loved this as a kid, and how mediocre it is now. I do love the character, though.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Incredible Hercules #114 : Hydra blood... I like it.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Squadron Supreme #2 (v1) : I like that Nuke is an unreasonable a hole.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Peter Parker, The Spectacular... : I gave this 3 stars, but it was on the verge of 2. Also, Kurt Busiek wrote a letter in the letters column, and it started out pretty harsh!

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Moon Knight #2 (v1) : It's sad that Marvel totally got away from these dark/amazingly drawn stories so quick. By the 90s, there was nothing like this.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Amazing Spider-Man #237 (v1) : I could tell you that. I love Paste Pot Pete.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Peter Parker, The Spectacular... : I love issues like this.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Iron Man #220 (v1) : Wow, what a way to go. I remember really liking The Ghost when I was a kid. Reading it now, he's not as cool as I remember, but a pretty good villain. I would have given this 4 stars, except for the part where they both refuse to put on the armor seemed oddly slapstick.

Johnny Darkness Says:
Peter Parker, The Spectacular... : I like the drawings of the creators on the first page. I would have loved that as a kid, I always wondered what the bullpen looked like. The only pictures I ever saw of creators was the cartoons in the Bullpen Bulletin page.
Also, I thought it was funny how Jim Shooter is portrayed as Dr Doom. Do you think that was a subtle way of calling Shooter a tyrant, or do you think Shooter was in on the joke?

Johnny Darkness Says:
Incredible Hulk #4b (v1) : First appearance of Gladiator Hulk! Even though these first issues haven't been very good, they do set up a lot of good stuff to come (like gladiator Hulk and Planet Hulk), and most of the key characters.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Fantastic Four #280 (v1) : Yeah, John Byrne swooped in and changed everyone's hair in the 80s. Pretty much always for the worse. Mostly female characters.

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Peter Parker, The Spectacular... : Cool cover and good interior art. I liked all the references. The Spirit, Obnoxio, ROM, etc

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Peter Parker, The Spectacular... : He has a lot of fans, including myself!

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Incredible Hulk #4a (v1) : So Hulk just flies around now?

Marvel Comments

Johnny Darkness Says:
Avengers Spotlight #25b : I liked it. Better than the A story.
