Nice getting 6 arms spider man, I was looking forward to this one as well as the intro to Morveus

I LOVE 6-arm Spider-Man! I also read a ton of Morbius in the 90s...so this is a good issue for me!

This should have been the 100th issue.

I never could get into Morbius, plus the lessening of code restrictions to allow 'real' vampires in a few months makes him superfluous.

That was way, way better than the previous issue.

Did you catch all the film buff references? I counted four, plus the Kafka mention.

I'm a bit disappointed that the Lizard shows up, to be honest, but overall a great issue. It's a shame that this six arm plotline is gonna wrap up so soon.

Since when was the Lizard like the Hulk, and he just needs to get his heart racing to turn?
I wonder if Peter will actually test his cure before using it this time.
Fun story overall though, and Mobius' story is kept nicely vague.

Why does Peter suck at explaining things to Gwen? A simple "I gotta leave town for work, love you though" would have probably been sufficient.

I can't handle Gil Kane's art in this one. Really detracted from the story for me.

Two issues into this arc and Spidey hasn't even made use of having 6 arms. Why bother if it was only going to be a temporary hindrance.

Morbius is lame. 6 arms is a ridiculous gimmick that does absolutely nothing for Spider-man's character development.

4 stars for the 1st app of Morbius, a man by day, but a monster by night!!! Reminds me of myself, when I'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!!!

Cravings - I'm surprised they mention the film "I am curious (Yellow)" in a comic for kids. It was rather risqué in its day!! Of course, Gwen might like Peter having extra hands, since she seems all pent up!!!

Fringe - Spidey first mentions being a human centipede!!!

Threads - I do like Morbius costume, it's very trendy for todays modern vampire!!

Tingle - Shouldn't the ol' Spidey sense have gone off when Morbius first attacked??

'Nuff Said - "I'm gonna get it--and hard."-Spidey

After reading dozens of issues featuring Gil Kane's gratuitous up the nose shots, we get a villain who has no nose! Who better to draw him than GIl Kane?

I did not expect Gwen to want to go see an R-rated movie.

'Nuff Said honorary mention: "I'm gaining a bit more muscle control over these excess members of mine." -Sinful Spidey after a hot blonde invites him to see R-rated movies!

Somehow, this story doesn't quite live up to its potential. We're not really seeing the capabilities of a six-armed Spider-Man, and Roy's dialog was really distracting here. I know it's his first issue on the title, and he probably hasn't settled in to it yet, but I expected a little better considering this is considered such an iconic arc.

However, it did have quite a bit going for it. Peter's anguished, as well he should be (even if it's his own fault). Plus, Morbius rocks here! He actually matches up against Spider-Man really well. Morbius is already showing some potential here right out of the box.

3 stars. I don't mind the Lizard's presence here either, but his transformation was too Hulk-like to me.

I can see what happened now. There was a meeting between Stan and the Bullpen. "Guys, I'm going to work on a film script for a while. While I'm gone, you'll have to pick up the slack and write the rest of the books. Roy you get Spider-Man." Roy: "Cool!" Stan: "Just so you know, I'm leaving you with a six-armed Spider-man. Have fun!" Roy: *slams head on desk*

That last panel is simultaneously awesome and awful. The idea is awesome, but the art fails spectacularly.
