I didn't care for this arc very much. Moribus is only slightly interesting and judging from info on the characters tab, I'll be seeing quite a bit more of him. The "six arm" s**t on the other hand, is extremely disappointing. WTF? Pure silliness.

I was just looking at my previous comment and I noticed I said Moribus instead of Morbius. I remember double checking that with the cover of the mag--it's misspelled on the cover. Yay for proofreaders!

I like the ark so far

I didn't mind the silliness of the extra arms, but I was very disappointed that they never really showed him using his extra arms in any cool or innovative ways, especially in combat. He was still just like normal Spider-Man. The potion might as well have turned his skin green instead of adding arms.

I quite like Morbius. He's not your usual villain (especially in the motivation part) and that's make him interesting, at least in my opinion.

I for one like Morbius and wish they had of gone further with the 6-arm arc. There was calamity potential! JJJ would've gone just freakin' banana's!!!

The process that gave Morbius his powers also gave him a costume... Changes from one panel to the next. Those Nobel scientists can do anything!

This final installment saves the whole arc. Love the mad scientist throwdown in the beginning.

Only Connor knows how to extract the enzyme...? "Ok Spidey, you've got to take a sample of the vampire's blood and put it in that potion, here. If it turns blue, everything's good." How hard could that be??

Loved the arc and the origin of Morbius.

Nice doubled sized issue. I can't wait to see Morbius show up again.

Actually on the panel where it changes they explain that it was worn under his suit as insulation against the shock. A silly explanation for such a snazzy outfit, but an explanation.
*Sigh* Add enzymes to the list of things that Marvel doesn't understand. Unless they took out ALL of his blood he should have lots of enzymes in there, not just a single one.
This is the story that should have been number 100, why wait until issue 102 to have your first double sized issue.

4 stars for Spidey making Morbius give till it hurts!!!

Credit Due - I like it that Gil draws real lizard eyes for the Lizard! In the past it has always been little dots.

Scaly - I know it's a major part of the story, but I feel Morbius shouldn't be able to pierce the Lizard's tough skin. Also, the Lizard should've been a lot tougher to fight. I mean even Spidey has hard time fighting him!!

Sniffles - Odd, that Morbius already had a bat nose before the accident...

Nikos - Finally a lab assistant that is not evil...still, he is killed anyway...

'Nuff Said - "Filthy hippies!"-Charlie the Bowery Bum

Looks like the extra arms vanished on their own for a second there on pg. 10.

Enzymes don't work like that, and dude, get a blood transfusion before treating yourself with weird vampire bat stuff that you haven't even tested yet.

The whole arc ended up pretty disappointing, for the reasons already stated above. But this last part was better than the previous two. Morbius's origin was great, and I liked the back-and-forth between the Lizard and Dr. Connors. Gil Kane's Lizard does look creepier than Johnny Romita's.

I do kinda wish we'd seen the potential for Spidey's extra arms. We actually got a better look at that in the What If story (vol 2 issue #42) based off of this arc. But the arc still works in the fact that it still fits in the series motif of science-gone-wrong.

3 stars. Remember kids, don't drink any dangerous chemical serums unless it turns blue.

Time it takes me to read a comic: 15 minutes. Ten for reading, and 5 for looking at the art.
Time it takes me to read a comic by Roy Thomas: 60 minutes. Fifty-five minutes for reading the endless thought bubbles, side-commentary and unnecessary dialog, and five minutes looking at the art.

On page 24 (under "The Curse and the Cure" title) the lizard must be wearing one of Spidey's gloves... either that or Spidey has a seventh arm that is costumed!
