Issue Review
   November 9, 2013
Strange, unappealing art and an oddball story that appears from nowhere. Elements from the previous storyline are still in play, but it doesn’t feel like continuity, it feels like a mess of left-over elements. Very unsatisfying. 2/10

They had Magneto's mission statement nailed down pretty early on. What they didn't have nailed down was his bad ass attitude. He comes off looking like a fruitcake in most of his earlier appearances.

Not one of the best issues ever still a bit amusing

I like how Magneto got more appearances than the X-Men during the reprint era.

Magneto's really stepping it up. I like it. I'm not sure if it's his appearance or the added length, but finally the Inhumans have a good solo issue. I also like that Magneto is calling them mutants.

Anyone else feel a little bit distracted by the fact Magneto had black dark hair in this issue for some reason? I know it's a nit-pick, but it's a little jarring. Also, his costume apparently got an upgrade of "fabulous".
I wonder how Mags is going to react when he finds out they're not mutants?

Damn there is a lot to cover in next issue. They have to defeat Magneto and whatever his sinister plan is that he hasn't even mentioned yet, and then they have to get home and defeat Maximus. All in one issue. I hope it doesn't come out rushed.

2 stars for a good ol' fashioned Inhuman/Mutant showdown hoedown!!!

Release - Poor Black Widow, she was so worried about her curse killing others. That she didn't know that it was really meant for her series....

Rage - I like Karnak going all medieval on their mutant asses!!!

Zen - Magneto has now become the master...escape artist!!!

Linger - But, what about the Trikon???

'Nuff Said - "G'on, take it. It'll put good things in your middle, man!"-Joey

Very cliché with the amnesia breaking, but good action and a passable plot. OK overall.

Magneto's helmet looked oddly huge, like Rick Moranis in Spaceballs.

Karnak in a turban just looks silly.

I'm sorry, but I just can't imagine Magneto in yoga pants. And now that I've said it, you can't unsee it! Mwahahahahaaa!

Other than that, good story. Magneto's branching out and staying active in his mutant conquest pursuit even though the X-Men are underground. No sense in letting a good villain go to waste, right? Only thing I didn't like about Magneto's current activities are his mutate underlings; several of them talk like Toad clones.

3 stars. Speaking of Toad, I like that he's not with Magneto anymore. Nice to see that the falling out they had in Avengers #53 is still sticking and hasn't been forgotten.

I write this before I've read Amazing Adventures #10. Who's to say the Inhumans have to defeat Maximus before this series ends? It can be resolved in another title.

The Inhumans have their own magazine, now. That's good; I am enjoying them, but where is Widow? I liked her stories too.

Magneto is back and forcing others to do what he wants. Slavery isn't a good thing, Magny.

I can unsee it! You just have to think of the Kingpin in a speedo. Boom!

  Allencthulhu Says:

This might actually be the best Inhumans story not involving another superhero or group. Who knew Magneto could actually improve something.

Three Stars.

This reminds me of the bulk of the pre-hiatus X-Men run. There's a lot of good ideas, but it's weighed down by mediocre writing and art. I was going to give this 1 star, but Magneto's story of his escape post FF#101 was pretty good.

I laughed when Karnak karate chopped his way into the sewer, too, as there was probably a manhole cover within a few yards.
