Enjoyable, if preachy, conclusion.
Plenty of action, and Ka-Zar impresses as he escapes caged confinement.

6/10

  I'm enjoying Ka-Zar a lot more than I thought I would.

Still not one of my favorite series, but way more enjoyable than I expected.

This is a nice update of the warring lost civilizations stories that made up a lot of early 20th century fantasy-adventure.

That made no sense at all. How can Ka-Zar not know about these persons? How big is the Savage Land anyway?

In first part of the story, Ka-Zar says he's never dared explore that area of the Savage Land.

Weird but sorta enjoying the story. I liked the ww2 back story.

Really dumb premise but told surprisingly well.

Sure, everyone throw your weapons in the volcano since there's no more war. It's not like you live in a world of prehistoric death beasts or anything. Also stupid: transporting lava through bamboo. I don't think that's quite going to work.

The villains' motives are sooo ridiculous.

2 stars for the Nazis and British working together to keep the dream alive!!!

Purrrfect - It looks like Zabu is having fun sharpening his claws in the long-neck!!

Death By Ooga Booga - It's a good thing they didn't have Ka-Zar make a conjugal visit...

Plan B - Heinrich and Cap Christopher should of made the Swamp Men their enemy. They're the red-headed stepchildren of the Savage Land!!

'Nuff Said - "Yes, I'm wounded, my friend, but your tongue does me no good."-Ka-Zar to Zabu...the She-Devil can't come fast enough...

When Ka-Zar punches Gerhad - do you think Gerhad's father will hear of this?

The second part seemed to work better than the first, although it was still dependent on the flaws established in the first part. I'm still not getting the science behind bamboo pipes channeling hot lava, and how were there children of those WW2 combatants without any females to mate with? Or did I miss something?

I did like the collusion between the English and German leaders, to keep the war alive for their mutual yet exclusive benefit. Although there really wasn't anything to fight for, it made for an interesting twist in the story. So does New Britainnia exist as a colony in the Savage Land?

3 stars. Somehow, this worked well enough. It's a little amazing that the Ka-Zar series flew under the radar as long as it did; it was one of Marvel's best kept secrets in the early 70's.
