New regular characters kick some life into the series, and the cliffhanger ending is very strong. 6/10

Assembling a team of vampire hunters seems to be the route the series is going to take. Nicely handled.

I am really surprised that I enjoy this comic. The art is great, and the pacing is done very well. Nothing seems rushed.

This is the best one so far. Colan's work is a bit more abstract here and a lot less messy than the previous 2 comics. This most likely due to superstar inker Tom Palmer. The funny thing is Colan drawing a cute bat with bunny ears for the Count's animal altered state. The coloring is the star here. The script is an ok read, except for Dracula's overbearing posturing. This story is developing nicely, even though the premise here seems to rely heavily on all the legend's cliches. (3+)

Nice seeing Van Helsing enter the action. I liked the turn at the end as well.

Was concerned that after the first couple of issues they'd run out of "the usual" vampire stuff to do and the book would be listless, but it seems that they actually had some stories in mind when they decided to re-undead Drac, so hopefully the book stays strong.

Random theory that probably never plays out:
Frank Drake is a relative of Bobby Drake and therefore Iceman is a relative of Dracula. So Dracula is a mutant and vampirism is just a mutation.

I'm not convinced in the slightest.

4 stars for Dracula fighting for his land!!!

Proper - I asked in TOD #1, when does Van Helfing become Van Helsing...now I know!

Daryl - Sweet of Rachel to bring out the crossbow!!!

Citizen's Arrest - It looks like the hotel clerk is wearing a bobby!! (p12,p5)

Sweet Dreams - Ahhh, Dracula looks so adorable when he is sleeping!!

'Nuff Said - "A box...a large oblong box."-Clifton Graves

Rachel is alright, but she's no Buffy.

I am really enjoying this book so far. The plot is getting downright compelling, and the introduction of new characters with their own motivations is keeping things fresh. Good job so far, Marvel.

I wouldn't mind hunting vampires with a cutie like Rachel myself. Seriously, she comes across like she knows her stuff and hopefully doesn't turn into the typical Marvel damsel in distress. I get that this book is supposed to imply Frank as the hero, but he's going to need Rachel if he's going to win.

And Ilsa strikes me as the typically vain female who values her looks over anything, but that's a downright evil look on her face in the final panel. Nice job with that one, Gene. She could give Frank fits in his mission.

4 stars. Pretty solid story all around. This arc is getting better as it progresses.
