Fast-paced. Maybe too fast-paced. The ending is abrupt, to say the least, but it's a fun ride as well as a frantic one. Jennifer Kale and the Man-Thing make a quirky team, and a solid core at the center of a pretty mad issue. 8/10

Ok, the mystical elements and the "Messiah-Man-Thing" were cool, but now it's too much. It wasn't suppose to be a Dr. Strange magazine.

Not to mention the ridiculous Man Thing's public appearance and the reaction to it.

Weird fun from the master of weird fun. I'm thoroughly enjoying this arc.

The ending is rushed indeed, but still, I liked this arc.

So it's over? Just like that? No more demonic invasion? No more old ladies hollerin' and beating up NY construction workers? Damn...

Not sure grandpa was doing a good job of keeping Jen safe by sending her with a rowdy bunch of murderous rednecks that had just destroyed her psychic partner.
For an ending where the good guys win, that sure felt like a downer. Kind of funny that the whole arc boiled down to a fetch quest to save the day.
That "priestess" garb was obviously created by a man...a man with serious woman issues. I mean it even has a crotch monster!!

That "priestess" garb for a child made me feel a little uncomfortable. Couple that with this being hell'a rushed, and after loving the start of Man-Thing I'm starting to come off the high.

3 stars for Jennifer reaching her full potential...as a stripper out past the interstate!!!

Cover Me - They have Zhered-Na on the cover instead of Jennifer!!

The Way Way Back Time - I wonder if this is Kala's Atlantis??

Tomboy - WOW! What a Queen, and an eye patch no less!!!

Babealicious - I know how Zhered-Na was able to get a following so fast...

Dirty Old Man - Dakimh is such a perv...at least Zhered-Na had pants!!!

Nemesis - That Lava Monster would've been a good foe for Man-Thing!!

'Nuff Said - "I love that ugly thing!"-Jennifer Kale, Monster Lover

The priestess outfit is made so much worse by them calling Jen a child a couple of panels later.

The arc wasn't quite at a level of the previous Man-Thing stories, but it still held up really well. I think the supernatural bent these stories have taken really serves the Man-Thing well, even if the Man-Thing's origins are rooted in "science gone wrong" as opposed to the occult.

I agree with the others that the end was a bit abrupt and convenient. Simply grabbing hold of a book to make a demon vulnerable to defeat seemed contrived to me. But I'm starting to think that the emphasis of the series is shifting more and more toward Jennifer than the Man-Thing himself. It figures; he doesn't get much dialog, does he?

3 stars. Who knew that Dakimh moonlights as a costume designer for Miley Cyrus?

Guess I shouldn't get irritated at Namor acting like an ass. It can't be his fault since being a d*ck is obviously a genetic trait thats been passed down since before Atlantis sank.
