Issue Review

With Earth's destruction imminent, most of this story is devoted to Quicksilver's desperate quest to find his sister. Epic stuff.
The rest of the issue follows Iron Man, Thor and Captain America as they search for, and travel to fight, the Sentinels.
The Scarlet Witch is missing/kidnapped - which ups the stakes and makes it personal - and there are visions of the sun destroying the Earth - which makes it epic - and the whole thing is a great read.
9/10

Koala deserves his own book or, at least, a Team-up spot.

OK, this is another great comic. Having Sinnott ink this book equals impressive quality. The story is shaping well into a nice serial. Dialogue is somewhat off, tho: Cap feels out of character. Not much happens in a ground-breaking way. Again, this was over before I knew it and I am anxiously awaiting the next instalment. (4-)

+1 star for the Koala. By Jove, he made the issue and wound the plot into a cohesive story. If I could rate this 10 stars I would... That Koala... Must be a mutie because I can't stop gushing over it!

Would that koalas had superpowers, the art in this book would be unrivalled.

3 stars for the Avengers going down under! While Quicksilver goes on a Runabout!! As the Sentinels put another shrimp on the barbie for their guests!!!

Time Management - If Iron Man knew that SHIELD didn't have much info on the Sentinels...then why let Cap and Vision go in the first place??!!

Road Rage - I like that one homo-sapien yelling at Quicksilver!!

Backbone - How about the Toad speaking up for mutant rights!!!

Scorecard - The Blob mentions Unus, but the only other mutant we see is the Vanisher!!

Reverse - If Quicksilver meant no harm, and only wanted to talk...then why crash through the window??

Feud - Well, at least Cap and Fury are talking again...

Mascot - I love it that the Avengers kick Rick off to the side!!!

Convenient - Quite a stretch of Larry accessing the space warp...

Cute & Cuddly - A koala ate my baby!!!

'Nuff Said - "If so, no second shaft shall prove of any worth."-Mack Daddy Thor

Really looking forward to the reveal of why the Sentinels only took Wanda and not Pietro. Good arc so far!

This arc is picking up serious steam here. The Sentinels are more than a match for the Avengers, yet I keep thinking they're not a logical opponent in a non-mutant book. However, I do note that they're mainly fighting defensively against the Avengers rather than overtly trying to obliterate them. They're made to capture and destroy mutants; against the Avengers, they're just defending themselves. Also, we don't know that the Sentinels are responsible for those solar flares threatening Earth. Maybe they're trying to stop them in their own way, if they're following their logic that led them to try to fly to the sun back in X-Men #59.

Mission Success: from what I gathered last issue, the Sentinels didn't try to grab Quicksilver because they were programmed to capture just one mutant, and they already had the Scarlet Witch. Although, other Sentinels could've arrived on the scene to take care of the speedster. Maybe they need Wanda for something....

Necessary Koala-fications: Is there a roster spot open on the team? I think I know who the next new Avenger should be!

4 stars. I still think there's something in that sun. Waiting, just waiting....
