The Black Knight - definitely one of Stan Lee's goofier villains.

Welp, being goofier as he is, the story didn't make me go nuts like some others, like the ones TStarnes said, or some others (Plant Man, anyone?). The way Henry Pym develops his abilities as a super-hero takes more attention than the uncanny vilains themselves. At least, that's why I observe.

Stan was only competing with himself. haha

How do you jump onto a flying helicopter from above?

An itching ray? Seriously?

Yet again someone changes to alter ego to get out of binding.

Why was Black Knight surprised (more than once in this issue) to see Giant Man changing size? He fled the country, genetically engineered a new species, developed an amazing weapon and suit of hi-tech armor, all to exact revenge on a superhero whose powers he doesn't even know?

zweineuf (to new what is that?) I believe the Knight didn't see the size changing, it seemed appearing/disappearin.

But now- When started it was even funny, but I cannot take more of Stan's women, the Wasp is crazy!

She even won't fight crime or crazy nuts for doing good, but to get her boyfriend...

How good that the evil guys always get the heroes they want!

This book and these characters are achingly bad. And the "Wasp tells a science fiction story" backup is beyond bizarre.

Not a bad story, all things considered. The Black Knight is certainly unique, as is his origin. "Oh, no! Giant Man caught me selling science secrets to the Commies! Oh, good! The commies paid my bale! I'll go hide in Europe! There's a statue! I'm going to genetically engineer a pegasus, put some itching powder in a lance, dress up like a knight and go fight Giant Man!"
The fights are interesting and in new locations. The villain is entertaining, if odd. And, the Giant-Man/Wasp relationship seems to be developing.
And, speaking as an experienced, "professional" DJ, Wasp! Call me!

I actually didn't mind this one. I think the key was that Henry and Janet actually acted like the partners they're supposed to be.

The wasp tells a story about outer space to keep kids out of crime? They're gonna wanna try whatever drug it is you're taking.

This issue was begging for a one star. A Commie traitor as a villain is never a good thing. Injecting the blood of an Eagle into a horse creates a pegasus? That is absurd even by Stan Lee standards. An itching ray is Black Knights ace in the hole? And to top it all off, Giant-Man is so incompetent he lets this second rate villain escape. Just terrible.

Loved this action-packed, novel-length adventure! This Black Knight is much better than the Martin Lawrence one.

The Wasp's story at the end was OK.

I actually found I quite liked the Black Knight. He was a good villain for Pym, they felt fairly evenly matched.

Is it me or is there a lot of sexual tension between Pym and Wasp. Just wish they'd get it over with.
