The first 7 pages are straightforward hero vs multiple villain's stuff, and the narration makes Ka-Zar seem quite badass.
Things start to go pear-shaped as soon as Bobbi Morse enters the story. She brings Zabu, who enters the fight. Suddenly you have a random group of characters standing around in a field, squabbling, and it's easy to lose interest.
When one of the villain's suddenly teleports everyone to New York and you have King Kong-situation it no longer feels like the same story.
And when the problem of the giant creature atop the World Trade Center resolves itself suddenly you kinda feel like the writer is making it up as he goes, throwing anything and everything at the wall to see what sticks.
2/10

"So, your boastings die gagging on your surrender! Such is the fate of all who oppose Ka-Zar!"

Extra star just for that line. =p

The Super Soldier serum has served Marvel well.

Interesting plot shift, I was wondering what the agent in the AIM facility has to do with the overall story.

I hope the Freedom Tower's roof is giant space monster proof so we don't need to worry about this happening again.

I just wonder if the writer of the 1976 version of King Kong had read this.

2 stars for Gog trying to get the hell out of this story!!!

No Prize - Plunderer's costume is colored green when it should be white like on the cover!!

Double Shot - Creepy seeing Gemini's eyes through his mask!!

Catchphrase - Ugh, I hate Ka-Zar's slogan!!!

Family Matters - And how would Ka-Zar rejecting his inheritance cause Plunderer to not get his share??

Agent 19 - Bobbie seems perkier this issue!!!

Flying Tiger - Funny image of Zabu flying the copter!!! (p15,p1)

Double Take - I know this Gemini is the same Gemini that was a member of Zodiac. So it makes you wonder if he's trying to take over Aim by himself, or is it planned with Zodiac? All the while still being in jail...

'Nuff Said - "--er--with Gemini at my side, of course!"-Peerless Plunderererererererererererererererererererer

This one wasn't bad, better than I thought considering the Plunderer was involved. It seems like this arc is trying to make Ka-Zar out like the typical superguy fighting crime in the city, just without the flashy tights. It might've worked, but I think the chemistry is just off. He came to the right conclusion at the end of the story: the Savage Land is more for him than the concrete jungle.

Some more notes.....

The Kree-Tin Hop: Gog has his own version of the Nega-Bands? At least he doesn't trade places with some bratty, annoying teenager! But heck, I don't blame him for leaving the story; with the Plunderer involved, if I were him I'd want out too!

Colonel's Secret Recipe: Anyone familiar with the methods know that it wasn't just the Super Soldier Serum that created Captain America. Conrad may be in for quite a surprise!

Landmark: On a serious note, I always shudder anytime I read a story involving the twin towers.

Research Grant: Thanks again to @Locust75 for his reveal on Gemini's connection to the Zodiac from Avengers #72.

3 stars. I must be crazy giving a Plunderer story 3 stars, but this actually was coherent. Gemini just needs to pick better partners to work with!

Yeah, same thing for me regarding the twin towers. Eerie seeing them and knowing what's going to happen to them.

I know there are some bad villains out there, but the Plunderer has to be one of the worst. Gemini was not wrong, the only thing he was contributing was that he found a giant alien that was listening to him.
