#111 finds Daredevil on the team as they try to rescue The X-Men.

Fast paced, multiple locations, multiple battles. Clever end.

Yet another comic book that forces me to conclude: The Vision is awesome. 9/10

Magneto can do mind control by controlling the metal in their blood. Give me a freaking break. Stupid use of magnatisum.

  Redsvetz Says:
  2012-06-06 08:07:48
Yeah, Magneto's "new" power is silly. Reminds me of the stuff they were doing with The Torch in the early 60s.

  Drax Says:
  2013-06-26 14:46:05
Yeah, that's stupid. Apparently, as well as not knowing how magnetism works, the good people of Marvel are not too good biology-wise neither. At least, they finally gave the Widow her Avenger card!

Not a good addition to Magneto's powers.

Magneto jumped the shark on this one!

What's with Black Panther this issue? He's making puns faster, and more painful, than a second rate stand up routine.

The only good thing about this issue is that Black Widow is finally initiated into the Avengers.

Aw, hell, as much as I love Black Widow finally joining the Avengers, this means DD goes back to his role as the Mope Without Fear.

Still terrible art from Don Heck, and some serious story convolution (Magneto's plan, and then Vision's counter).

  MattzLadd Says:

Magneto's mind control is almost as stupid as everything Vision does in this issue.

3 stars for Vision hitting the Foreigner with that "Double Vision"!!!

Feels Like The First Time - Creepy that Mags has Wanda dance for him when we find out about their relationship later on...

Juke Box Hero - Well at least Mags treats Piper a lot better than he did the Toad!!!

Hot Blooded - Although silly that Mags can control people now. It wasn't that long ago when Mags had mental powers in early issues of X-Men!!

Dirty White Boy - Dammit Hawkeye! You should of went with them!!!

Long, Long Way From Home - I wonder if Englehart was doing a homage to Batman with Commissioner Alfred??!

Head Games - Mags tells Wanda to be quiet...even though they cant speak while under his control!!

Headknocker - Wanda the Witch...well, that's a new one! And Mags calls the guys T-Man?! Did he mean G-Man???

Blue Morning Blue Day - So I take it this is Mags ship, since he's using octofumes (groan)! Then why did he need the Quinjet last issue?

Urgent - @skalchemist: He's been doing it a lot lately. Maybe he's been in America too long!!

Cold As Ice - When Vision leaves Piper's body...he also takes his pants!!!

'Nuff Said - "--and playing against Magneto is the sheerest of stupidity!"-Magneto

He can control reality too... because reality has metal in it.

  - Magneto has become a blood bender
- Is this the first time a character looks at a picture of another and the picture wasn't signed?
- @Locust75 T-Man is a thing. Treasury agents.

From the Stan Lee School of Science, Medical Division: we will learn how magnetism controls the blood, which has no metallic properties since the iron in the hemoglobin exists in ion form instead, thereby allowing the wielder of said magnetism to control the mind and will of the subject. Somehow, the following scene would've been far more appropriate instead of what actually transpired in this story: "And now that I control your minds, I will now make you.....buy the Brooklyn Bridge from me!" Good thing Rick Jones wasn't around; he'd be all "Shut up and take my money!"

Speaking of playing those Mind Games just like John Lennon did, I'm not exactly buying the Vision's little stunt on Piper. I bet that would've made Piper's head explode, or at least give him the biggest migraine ever. Nothing a case of Exedrine can't solve, Piper!

3 stars. But there's still dinosaurs roaming the X-Mansion estate. Somebody call animal control. Or John Hammond.

Extra star for the Widow dumping Daredevil. Although she really doesn't know how to let them down easy. I really hope she reevaluates her taste in men now.

Well I WAS excited to see the X-Men and Magneto again, but now I wish I hadn't.
