Issue Review

Good art, but everything else is pretty poor. Dracula is a cartoon villain here, the jeopardy that our heroes find themselves in is fairly weak and is resolved in ridiculous fashion, the device featured in the story is silly, and the new vampire’s backstory and motivations are childish. The series now seems slapdash and badly thought-out. 3/10

I really wanted to hate this for bringing in zombies, but actually I quite liked it.

Someone should tell that doctor that humans' life depends on blood too.

Dracula is such a boring vilain, this is embarrassing.

I'm really impressed with this title. I forgot how much I liked it. The stories are not contrived, and are pretty exciting.

I'm surprised that the heroes took a pretty passive role in this issue. Sure they locked the kids in the room like I suggested, but other than that, they sat around waiting to be rescued while some characters we've never met thwarted Dracula. Still played out well though.

3 stars for Mortte M.E. saving the day; while Quincy M.E. was getting in a round of golf!!!

Cloves - Oh now, Quincy uses the net with the garlic...

Hawkeye - Nice shot by Rachel snuffing out the flame!!!

Ruh-Roh - I love the look on Saint's face in the car!!! (p7,p5)

Home Movies - I've always knew that projectors were instruments of the damned!!!

Chatterbox - I'm surprised Dracula let Mortte ramble on like that!!

MI6 - I wonder if the mysterious agent is really Q?!!

Fright Night - The most awesome bat fight ever!!!

The Living Undead - Like other have mentioned, I think Marvel didn't realize what they had here with Vampire Zombies!!!

'Nuff Said - "Curse Dracula--his plan is flawless..."-Quirky Quincy

This issue was flawed but fun. Having Quincy call for help every time the group gets trapped smacks a little deus-ex-machina-ish, but the story was still a little riveting and Dracula actually had a solid plan going. However, as one commenter suggested last issue, if Dracula rids humans in favor of the undead, what will be their source of food? Animal blood probably doesn't have the nutrients vampires need, let alone that satisfying aftertaste.

The highlight of the issue had to have benn that bat-fight; that was downright awesome! We all knew Mortte had to lose, and the group will never know that he prevented Drac from raising the dead. So were all those zombies vampires? If a vampire is killed, could be have been raised by that machine? Makes it even harder to kill vampires if true, but fortunately with the machine destroyed, it's all moot.

3 stars. Now we're just waiting for Quincy and Rachel to serve Drac a nice fancy stake and garlic dinner!

I love Mortte worrying about what he's going to tell his patients about all the blood being gone. Imagine going to the doctor and being told you need a blood transfusion, but unfortunately they can't do it because they gave all their blood to Dracula.
