The Hulk has found his way to Canada, though he is a bit hazy as to why. Meanwhile, Beast and Vera are making their own trek to the great white north for similarly dubious reasons. |

RikerDonegal October 11, 2013Good.
There are a couple of things to like here. First: there's the character of The Hulk himself. He finds himself alone in the woods and being gradually weakened by a force that lies in one direction. And, as the narration neatly observes, his only instinct is to go towards the sensation and - ultimately - prove that he is better than it.
That's what makes him interesting.
As a story, this is a pretty good one. It brings back some characters from the X-Men and gives them a decent story. The Hulk blunders into the middle of things. And someone dies.
Enjoyable issue. 9/10 |

Man I always looked at the Mimic and thought that he had a great power. But I feel that he was developed too early in Marvel history, and they couldn’t figure how to work him out right. His powers at this point look a lot like how Rogues powers work later on and they developed her much better. |

That was a pretty weak conclusion to the Beast story. I expected something better than the Mimic! |

Tarquinn no like Hulk. Am I the only one who thinks talking in third person is annoying? I do not look forward to Hulk issues and I hadn't missed Mimic. Also, since when do Hank's gloves go up to his elbows like in the last few pages of this issue. |

I can't help but wonder how the Beast story would have ended if his series hadn't been canceled. This definitely felt rushed, though they at least made Hulk pivotal to the end.
And oh how I enjoyed those Mounties! |

I appreciated the added closure for the Beast series even if this was pretty clearly not where it was originally going. Hulk falling on the cabin was pretty great. Beast wearing a person-suit is weird. |

3 stars for Mimic trying to make up for being a jerk all those years ago!!!
Credit Due - dadoodoflow mentioned in an earlier Hulk issue how an bad inker can ruin Trimpe's art! This issue definitely proves it!!!
Always Get Their Hulk - The Mounties should've tried some Canadian bacon, and maple syrup to lure the Hulk with!!!
Cavity Search - Where did the Beast keep his suit when he crossed the border??
'Nuff Said - "Get away from Hulk! He has no time for monkeys!"-Hulk |

This was a crisis that was building for awhile now, yet the Hulk had just entered Canada. Hank and Vera had been traveling awhile, hadn't they? That made the situation a little overblown to me.
Other than that, this actually wasn't a bad ending to the story started in the Beast's feature in Amazing Adventures. However, there are still a couple of loose ends to tie up. Seems like that's been happening a lot lately, with cancelled books.
3 stars, and kudos to the Hulk for getting that "monkey" off his back! |

I have never liked the Mimic, you know, because he's generally been a real jerk to put it slightly politely. But that was a lot better than I was expecting. Although Hulk is in Canada and not wearing mittens and that's disappointing. Where's Doctor Strange when you need him? |

I liked the story, but the coloring was just atrocious. The panel where beast is carrying Vera, they just randomly color her butt yellow. Like Roussos was thinking, "hmm should be some hair here somewhere,,,,uhh I'll just make this part blond," And the panel where there is supposed to be a signal from the cabin, there is a cabin drawn and then a smear of brown over it and the genealogy vicinity, no light, no signal. Lay off the booze when you're coloring, George! |

Isn't it interesting that even though their mag is in reprints, the X-Men keep oozing into other books? Avengers, Amazing Adventures, Hulk...
Three stars--extra star for Beast's witticisms... |

RCMP now has jurisdiction in Ontario. Oh well, comics.
The Beast and Vera took months to reach Canada while Spidey and Human Torch went on a whirlwind tour around the globe in a matter of pages in MTU. |

Putting aside the fact that Hank's Mission Impossible disguise is dumb, this was a good issue. I like how Englehart writes both Hulk's and Beast's dialog, and I especially liked him playing up Hulk's constant confusion, and his irritation with it. |
