#115 reads like a filler issue.

It's fine, nothing to get excited about.

Until the final scene (Loki & Dormammu). 5/10

How on earth did Avengers lose to those Troglodytes? It's like half of the team were asleep during the battle. And then Panther just defeated all the enemies single-handed? Iíve got to say, I was looking forward to Avengers Vs Defenders and Iím sure itíll be great, but it starts a bit rough.

Yeeah, the power levels of most of the characters in this are way off. Still, looking forward to the event.

This was a pretty bad issue, saved at the end by Loki meeting Dormammu. I think Englehart writing 4 books is starting to catch up to him. Up to this point he'd been about the best writer in '72-'73 but like Gerry Conway, he may be getting loaded with too many titles.

Comic itself was meh, but the epilogue had me very interested. Can't wait to see what kind of havoc Loki and Dormammu can make.

even if they knocked Thor and Vision unconscious somehow, as soon as they woke up they'd break free of the ropes....

2 Stars.

  Holy unholy alliance, Batman!

The last two pages made the issue. Otherwise, this was extremely mediocre.

I liked everything except the stuff to do with the underground society...because Marvel didn't have enough of those?
I look forward to the war!

Well, I did like the fact that Steve Englehart remembered Dr. Strange's barrier around the Black Knight's castle after his stoning in Defenders #4. Other than that, this issue was pretty much filler until the last few pages.

Those troglodytes shouldn't have been able to beat the Avengers that easily. The only thing I can think of is that Thor and the Vision were faking unconsciousness to listen in and learn what they were up to. But @duncanm is on to something; does the Mole Man know about these guys?

2 stars.

Maybe Mole Man's kingdom just isn't that extensive. Marvel is very much centred in the U.S., after all. Who knows what underground societies there could be in other parts of the world? I, for one, don't want to see the Australian one - they'll all talk like bogan Queenslanders.

Just 2 stars for "Where's our missing knight you troglodytes!!!"

Set The Mood - I recommend listening to "Troglodyte" by the Jimmy Castor Bunch!!!

Across The Pond - The Quinjet's wings changed when the SHIELD ship boarded! Also, the hatch almost took out Iron Man!! Although interesting to see a British Division of SHIELD!!!

Noxious - Sigh...once again Vision gets taken out by gas, and later he can't see in the dark??!!!

A Bunch Of Dips - It would've been better if the king's name was Skoal!!!

Shopping List - I guess the Black Knight never noticed his pantry being plundered?!!

Damsel - I do like Mantis using her fine muscle control to get out of those ropes!!!

'Nuff Said - "There's no more we can do for them--and I'm happy we didn't have to do any more to them."-Double Talk Maximoff

Mr. Englehart *really* should have faked up a reason for Thor, Vision, and Iron Man to sit this one out. To see the three of them getting whupped by this pack of underhillbillies is just embarrassing.
