#107 has an unbeatable foe and finds a way to beat him that (pretty much) makes sense. Cool guest stars, too.

Captain Marvel makes for an interesting guest-star. There's no hint, here, of the Daredevil/Moondragon attraction from last issue. The three of them, plus Black Widow, make for a colourful team. 7/10

"You crummy clown! That ain't fair--turnin' my own power against me!" I actually kinda enjoyed this one. Moondragon is way cooler here than her silly turn in Iron Man.

Really liked this issue, although I don't get why Rick Jones was being such a douche.

It was a good issue despite Rick Jones' sucking on an ice cream cone!

Someone besides Bob Brown as the penciller and this might have been three stars. But Brown is the is like the Homda Civic of artists. He will reliably get you to you destination, but there is not even a hint of style.

So the heroes made up a plan that consisted of Daredevil turning into Matt in order to shock Kerwin and distract him? How did Moondragon and Marvel know that Daredevil was Matt? Not to mention they were doing this planning in the middle of the street, surrounded by cops and civilians.

I think this was Gerber's trolliest script yet.

  - Daredevil was always the comic with awesome art but terrible story, now it's reversed

- The intro to psych 101 banter between Marv & Ramrod is funny

- You know if Rick Veitch was writing this Angar the Screamer would always be accompanied by dead Janis

- "He can only be defeated by the anti-life equ...um...er...unlife! Yeah, unlife syllogism!"

- Good stuff, never expected it

- Now Playing "Egg" Mr. Bungle

This arc ended up being a lot better than I ever had any right to expect it to be. Sure, it was still overblown and overly cosmic for a DD mag, but it somehow worked and worked well. It wrapped up the Kerwin Broderick subplot with quite a flourish that could've gone very badly given the suddenly-wild turns it took. Nice job, Steve.

Some interesting touches here, too. Angar switching sides; the way Ramrod was taken down by Mar-Vell; the Thanos War tie-in; and Matt confronting Kerwin/Terrex in his street clothes. Yeah, like many of you have said over the past few issues, I'm not sure Matt's secret isn't blown by now. Time will tell.

Hey, I wonder if un-life changes its shape and form. It sure didn't look like that spaghetti stuff the Human Torch had to fly through in Fantastic Four #49.

4 stars. Back to New York for horn-head? Why do I get the feeling Natasha isn't going to miss him?

It seemed really out of place to have the one mention of the police chief's brother being killed in the middle of these last 2 issues. I presume they're going to do something with that, but still.

3 stars for Matt Murdock serving a cease and desist to Terrex!!!

Credit Due - Sadly, this is Bob Brown's best work...must be Sal Buscema's inks!

Notes - Cool scene of the melding phase. Of course, Rick would choose plain ol' vanilla. Angar's headband was a swastika, and now it's a dove! A lot of the explanations sounded like something out of School House Rock!

'Nuff Said - "How can a glorified acrobat fight a god gone mad?"-Daredevil
