Anyone else think Dr. Joseph Jennings looks like Murderface from Metalocalypse? Decent ish, not much to say about it. 3 Stars.

Namor's characterization is the real star here. And his observations on mankind's failings. Love his arrogance. The baddie-of-the-week barely appears, but is actually rather good. As is the short scene with the trio in Zephyrland. 9/10

Crazy costume makes it feel like the '60s again. And I'm glad to see Peter is actually going to school sometimes!

The ending saved this issue. Subby has come down a notch...

It's like he evolves...and then completely regresses only to need to evolve again.

I call BS. If Namor was struck by a solid shaft moving at the speed of light he would disappear in a cloud of blood and gore.
A strong contender for dumbest villain name.

Everett turned this title into something I enjoyed. I can see why this title was cancelled, it just doesn't have it right now. The grad sudent rant was great, though.

Mediocre at best. The sooner the Zephyrland plotline is resolved the better. Awful.

Hey Marvel! The 60's called...they want they're Don Heck back!

Hey, I didn't think it was that bad. The main plot driving this book right now is interesting, with Atlantis mostly in a coma and Namor looking for a means to save it. I also thought the fight was pretty good. However, I'm not certain how "force field technology" is supposed to be a factor in how to help them all, unless I'm missing something here (entirely possible). And yeah, as a name, Force sucks; Gerber couldn't come up with anything better?

I'm still interested in the Zephyrland sub-plot, but it's starting to get a little long in the tooth. But I guess that's going to be resolved pretty soon given the amount of time the book has left.

I also think this is one of Don Heck's better later-career showings; although Jim Mooney's inks make almost anyone's pencils look good. It wasn't blocky or mannequin-like like most of Heck's work around this time.

3 stars. I'm in the minority here but I liked this issue, and am looking forward to Spidey's appearance. But yeah, this book has clearly lost something; if it weren't for Namor's tired rant against surface people again, it no longer feels like a classic Sub-Mariner book anymore.

Force is going to make Namor dead? I think there's a word for that.

I did enjoy this more than the last few issues, but I was convinced Force was going to announce himself as the new unicorn. He fired a laser from the centre of his head and even the costume colouring was similar.
