Issue Synopsis

In Berlin, the Destroyer infiltrates the Gestapo disguises as a Nazi captain. Major von Glib, his ranking officer, gives him the order to take a few soldiers with him and bring in Fred Kurt, a bookseller suspected of being a British spy.

Marlow is displeased at the idea of losing a such a valuable asset in the heart of Germany. At the bookstore, he orders his men to stand guard outside, saying he will whistle for them if he needs their help. When he comes in and tells Kurt he is there to arrest him, the man replies by grabbing a pistol. Marlow stops him by taking off his uniform, revealing his Destroyer costume. The hero informs the British spy that the Nazis are suspecting him and instructs him of his plan.

Later, the Nazis soldiers outside the bookstore hear the whistle signal. When the run inside, they are welcome by the Destroyer who knocks them down. Then the hero and the bookseller take the soldiers to the backroom. Kurt ties them up while Marlow phones Major von Glib to announce that he has captured Fred Kurt and the Destroyer.

When the major arrives, the Destroyer gives him the same treatment as the other soldiers. After they put the Destroyer costume on von Glib, Marlow changes into his previous Nazi uniform.

Before taking Fred Kurt outside Berlin, he tells some soldiers that von Glib gave them the privilege of shooting the Destroyer themselves and asks them to parade the body through the streets of Berlin. Then he gloats as the major gets shot by his own men.
