2 stars for the gladiator grapple of the galaxy!!!

Yo Mama - Forget the tussle; this all about the trash talkin', ya dig??!!

'Nuff Said - "It is whispered in the galaxy that the creatures of Earth feel they are superior to all!"-Amphibion

I love how the Hulk's foe clings meekly to that chunk of earth right before Hulk flings him into the sky. When you're beat, you're beat.

It's a good thing the Leader's head wasn't any bigger or it wouldn't have fit inside the Fishbowl of DOOM!

I like to think that on the last page, the Leader made the same sounds that R2-D2 did when the Jawas shot him.

Actually, I will say two more things: first, hahaha! What an ironic title, "the wisdom of the Watcher"!!!!
And Locust75, what's with all the hate? A chain of 2 star ratings for this Hulk/Leader arc?!

"Lets just say...that I was green with envy!!!"-Locust75 puts on his shades as he cues the loud music and walks off in the Miami sunset...

These stories have all been on the fence between 2-3 stars for myself as well. First of all, I miss Ditko's Hulk. Powell sort of draws him like his gamma radiation gave him autism (he's a Neanderthal, not autistic!) That has a little bit of negative impact for me. For the last few issues of this arc, it's gotten a little too cosmic a little too fast for me. All of the sudden when the leader gains access to the Hulk, he sends him to the Watcher to grab some crazy mind-enslaving weapon. It's gotten a little too same ol' for me.

Can't speak for Locust, but that's why I'm growing less enthused. However, the twist at the end put this one up from two to three stars for me.

Okay, I used "for me," like, 5-6 times. Please excuse my redundancy.

For such a long epic story arc, I was disappointed in the ending. The Leader puts on a glass dome the Hulk won for him, and it kills him? What knowledge was forced into his oversized brain? Did he finally learn that babies don't come from the stork?

Horatio Caine, leave that body at once!

  • That's my line "I don't care two pins about Earth, or victory, or who in blazes they sing about! But nobody's getting the best of the Hulk!" (The Hulk)

  • Nice touch that for once there is an explanation on how the creature is able to speak English!

  • Strong lungs do not explain why the Hulk can stay underwater for hours, Stan! Oxygen has nothing to do with strength.

  • I hate the Watcher saying he's not interfering when he obviously does. That line is getting old. He sends both fighters to a place where they will not damage his scientific device, but he willingly lets someone leave with a most dangerous weapon! This makes no sense at all! "You can have everything you want. I won't interfere but I'll even bring to my lab!"

  • I did not care much for this story, but I hope it's the last one of the Leader for long while. 2 stars for weak conclusion.

I like the little and hard to recognize direction with the Hulk('s brain) slooooooooowly getting more fierce and battle-wanting...the Hulk old instincts getting stronger again, I hope they stay on this course...

Watcher at its best again ...rule-bending galore...

The ending was to obvious for me, I just knew that all the knowledge of the Universe will be to much, even for the big brain of the Zombie-Leader

Is this the first death we see so "uncensored", the other deaths I remember we just saw the body's lying on the ground but not the process of dying as here...

creepy face of the braindead Leader I have to say...nice art
