3 stars for Theirs not to reason why, Theirs but to do and die!!!

Cover Me - A great Kirby image of the Hulk!

Night And Day - The difference between the art in Namor and the art in the Hulk stories is just sad!!!

Big Brain - It's funny that the Leader could fit his whole head in the Ultimate Machine, but it barely fits the Hulk!

Who Does Number Two Work For - Wow, Talbot actually makes some sense in this issue!

'Nuff Said - "So, I'm takin' off again! I need room...space to move in...nothin's gonna fence me in again!"-Ramblin' Hulk

That splash page is really something... it looks like the Hulk is about to stick the Ultimate Machine in the Leader where the sun don't shine!

I like the ending where Hulk gets zapped into the future. It reminds me of Beneath the Planet of the Apes.

I like Demeo's art quite a bit better than Kirby for Hulk. It was Kirby previously, right? [Hmmm, the credits here contradict the comic credits. I'll notify the CMRO authorities immediately!]

  • That's my line "You built it from his plans... but you don't really understand it!" "That's right, sir! That's why your command has been ordered to test the weapon!" (General Ross and some other very responsible military brass) Yes, America's security is in such good hands!

  • That's my line too "You keep out of this, Glen Talbot!" (Betty Ross) Good goin', girl!

  • Demeo's art in this series is even worse than Ditko's! Unlike Daredevil comics which always featured the best artists, the Hulk never had anyone doing it justice so far. I truly hope this will change soon.

  • Okay, I did not see that coming. Interesting ending! Overall, the story was not too bad, but the art killed it. 3 stars.

I know that Mike Esposito is a good artist, but this in this one, he makes the Hulk look like a squat dwarf. I have to wonder if its from working with Kirby's layouts and trying to mesh two different styles of art. Of course, this is the era of the "everyone needs to draw like Jack" Marvel.

Also, I'm a bit confused. Wasn't the T-Gun built in the Southwest? How is it nailing the Hulk in Washington? Stan needed an atlas.
