Absurd nonsense with a bland lead character and villains whose plan (?) relies on people being gullible and stupid. 2/10

I really liked the story overall, but once again there was just so much stupid involved, and the art looks like the anthology book reprints of stories from the 50s.
How stupid do these people have to be to believe that in the span of a single day Brad was able to read the script, get a crew together, the props, cameras, cables, etc. And you're surprised it wasn't what it seemed? From the second they told Jack to swing on a vine that nobody has tested, over a ravine without any safety measures, while someone shoots at him with "blanks" (again, one day doesn't give much time to check on these things) he should have told them a big "Nope".
"...before I realized I was more than your everyday normal Jack Russell..." Well yeah, they're usually much smaller, with a longer snout, and they only have patches of brown in their fur rather than it being the main color.
Werewolf is hanging over a pit by his feet, and he manages to break his bonds...how does he not go directly down into the pit? Not to be outdone, when a flying baddie breaks the log holding Buck above the pit, he is able to hold on to the ledge... by his chin... while unconscious. And then when he awakens his chin is so strong that it is able to pull him out of the pit while he is still bound.
Again, the werewolf that usually has difficulty fighting a single normal human was able to manhandle an entire cult with tentacles.

WbN suffers from having to have every plot thread start and resolve in the same issue.

Nice to see Clary again, and I got a chuckle out of Jack's comment about Buck being too old for her, but this was pretty unremarkable otherwise. About what I'd expect from a Giant-Size story.

2 stars.
