I love the way super villians actually think The United Nations has binding power over the earth. And was that Magneto quoting The Doors?

Almost had to add a star for mini-Blob there!

  Drax Says:

Apparently, in the early days, Magneto's hat was a fashion choice since Xavier could pinpoint him with his mind from half a country away.

  The original X-babie....error Brotherhood babies.

First off, that cover art is fantastic. Second, that issue happened. So the Brotherhood are babies now? Interesting...

Babies? Really? Wonder how they will get restored. Was nice to see someone (Valkyrie) have sympathy for Hulk.

  - Alpha looks like Tienshinhan from dragonball z on the cover.

- am I the only one who got the "Muppet Babies" theme stuck in their heads after the last panel? (But I replaced muppet with mutant)

I had to deduct a star for the arbitrary powers and limitations of powers in this comic. All of a sudden the Sorcerer Supreme can't teleport out of a cave? Now Master Mind can sense other mutants near by?

At one of those intermediate stages Alpha looked like a twin of Xavier. Makes me wonder what Magneto made him out of.
One weird little glitch on the cover is that Brute Alpha is on Magneto's side of the scales that Brain Alpha is holding.
I would actually love if they kept the Brotherhood as babies for a little while, but I think we all know they'll be back to their old selves again for some reason or other fairly quickly.

Len Wein is seriously just making up everyone's powers on the fly. Magneto throws energy bolts and can fling people around, Mastermind has some weird sixth sense thing, Dr. Strange can use the Eye of Agamotto to give the Hulk and Xavier a cross-country lift. And Alpha is straight-up all powerful. Kinda takes away the fun of a team story when you don't know who can do what.

I really like Sal Buscema, but I rprefer Gil Kane’s Alpha on the cover
This one looks like Rocky is going to come motoring in and order him to "Shut up yur shuttin' up…"

Dr. Strange is such an a**hole when it comes to The Hulk

Better than the last issue, has a nice splash page

What has Magneto done to the Earth? What has he done to our fair sister? If Magneto's going to be in charge, you can cancel my subscription to the resurrection!

Interesting that Valkyrie and Hulk did all the work in digging out from that cavern. Nighthawk tried to help, but when he threw his American Express card it just bounced off those rocks. Yeah, sorry, I'm not seeing the point of having him here, he was pretty useless throughout the entire battle.

The Defenders flew to New York but never saw a building in the sky on approach?

3 stars. Next time, Magneto, When the Music's Over, turn out the lights!
