Issue Review
   November 19, 2014
Another brutal tale. It unfolds slowly and the sense of impending doom grows with each new scene. The personality of the ‘hero’ comes into sharper focus with every story, flaws and all. It’s certainly an unusual series. 8/10

  Poor Phillip Bliss. =[

A flying legless man might be too much, even considering my huge suspension of disbelief towards comics...

I'm goong to agree with Drax that the flying leg less man was too much...too much awesome! Much in that story was completely unexpected, and the level of gruesome violence was just right.

Reminds me of a song I played when I was in the high school wind symphony... "On a human song for Phillip Bliss"

Considering that they're trying to keep the voodoo joint a secret, having a legless guy go flying out the doors may not have been the best move.
So is a firefighter going to pick up the amulet and become the next master? I would actually like to see an issue of "Simon Garth - Zombie Fireman"

Really liked this, interested in what happens next!

There's got to be something more to those amulets than animating a corpse. It's being established that there's still a little spark to Simon even though he's technically dead. It's made for some interesting stories, even though it goes against what we know are established "rules" for zombies.

All that said, this story arc is getting more entertaining with each issue. Yeah, Papa floating around without his legs was pretty trippy, and I'd developed a bit of sympathy for Phil's plight before he was killed. Also, still awaiting Lois's come-uppance, along with her new boyfriend, Mr. Six. This is turning into one fun arc.

3 stars. @duncanm: I think the amulet should fall into the hands of a dancer who owns a copy of Michael Jackson's "Thriller." Need I say more?

Poor Phil, but if he were really trying to free his zombie friend, maybe bury the amulet with him. Just a thought.

I really love the Pablo Marcos art in these. And the sense of doom and the Gerber satire. All a great break from the super heroics. Poor phil😩
