Very silly. Lots of characters we don't care about, and lots of crazy coincidences. Juvenile nonsense. 2/10

How did Bob kick the gargoyle, I thought he was paralyzed.
Disclaimer: No laws of physics were harmed during the making of this issue. Well, maybe just a little…

Bah. This is just dumb. Makes me think of the cinema classic "Killer Klowns From Outer Space."

The Colossus, a construct, blows in his hands to create an air cushion? That's one for the physics books, boys...

Golem, Colossus, what was this obsession with giant stone figures?

Who could be scared of a gargoyle named Gorgonzola? I hate this series by the way...

Silver Age nonsense. This makes me re-think other 1 star ratings I've given.

Anyone notice the TV show being produced was "Star Lords"? Dude, it's all connected, man.

The opening page talks about how this is a world of superheroes and monsters, and yet the only person that deems this alien invasion significant enough to fight against it is a mind-melding cripple?!
Judging by it's close view of Earth, Stonus V could only be the moon...

A big NOPE here. I'm still not clear on how this is 616, but I guess it gets retconned/fit in? I like the idea of a world where 50's monster stuff is real life, but this is terrible.

Astonishing Tales? More like Astonishingly Bad Tales...

There's so much wrong with this story, and the other commenters have already hit on it. The retro-Kirby-esque art probably did it a favor; I at least was somewhat entertained when I looked at it as a parody. That way, it's actually not half-bad.

Still, just 1 star. The '70's monster mags expect to be taken more seriously. This one fails in every aspect.

Well I liked it. Don't know why exactly, maybe it's just in comparison to the Golem stories, but I liked it.
