Another turkey. It also seems to introduce a major change of direction in the series. But, sadly, not a change of quality.
Eventually the series gets good. I know that because I originally started reading from somewhere in the 30s. But I never realised how dreadful the early issues actually were.
3/10

"The truth of this encounter would leave your soul shriveled like a raisin! I may be a lame villain, but at least I've got original curses!"

They really could have come up with a better reason for getting Ghost Rider involved in all this. I also love how he's saying he's super concerned about Rocky's safety but continually disobeying the psychopath who kidnapped her.

Finally a Ghost Rider issue that is more than just a chase. I mean, it wasn't the best, because it was laying down a lot of exposition, but it was enjoyable enough, and I'm interested in next issue.

I'm not real sure what to make of this story. Either Paul Barnett stayed one step ahead of Ghost Rider throughout much of the issue, which made him look awfully dumb......or, Ghost Rider was just screwing with his already-fragile mind, in which case it was brilliant! Either way, I don't see Ghost Rider quite living up to his potential, but....the flashes of what he's capable of are starting to show. And the writing is improving too; the way Johnny's getting involved with Zodiac, I could've sworn this was written or at least plotted by Steve Gerber!

3 stars, in spite of the cover having less to do with the story than almost any other cover we've seen in the Order so far!

Well no one tried to sacrifice Rocky this issue, so that's a plus.
