#8 finds GR against Satan. But, as with all their skirmishes thus far in the series, it's all a bit vague about what's going on. Roxanne somehow protects Johnny, and Johnny can somehow use his power against Satan.
Why any of this is so, is anybody's guess, and the series seems kinda directionless, really.
3/10

This series has drastically improved. Really enjoying this small run. The prince of lies makes an offer to Roxxy, she'll probably take it but how can she trust him? I mean, he's the devil for God's sake.

Did Satan just convince Roxy to believe him because he's the prince of lies?
Anyone else think that Crash looked like we was doing some kind of musical theater?
It kind of takes away from the Rider's badassitude to have Johnny's thoughts constantly tell us that he is just pretending to be a badass.

Right, Rocky. That's the devil, not Monty Hall! Go for what's behind door #3 instead!

Looks like Tony Isabella has found a niche in Ghost Rider. The series isn't quite up to its potential just yet, but yes, the writing here is much improved. Still, I'm having a hard time caring about the choice Rocky is facing in the story cliffhanger. And Inferno? Can't take him seriously when the words "fear fear fear" are emanating from his head like an episode of Batman. I know the artwork is very 1970s, but.....

3 stars. Did Satan call Rocky "virginal"? Does that mean Johnny is really that much a gentleman? The way she tackle-hugs him when she sees him makes me wonder if they're both pulling one over Satan, and that's no mean feat!

Ghost Rider himself is getting better, and at least he's facing actual problems now, not just riding his bike everywhere. But Rocky is so damned annoyed that I'm getting very close to joining the queue of people waiting to sacrifice her. Could she be more of a stereotypical damsel in distress?
