Holy crap! This is the best arc marvel has put out yet!

I can see so many downsides to becoming everything. Someone falling to the ground is basically a body slam. All those stars that are constantly undergoing nuclear fusion. Someone goes number 2....

Didn't like Starlin's art as much in this one, but I did appreciate the Last Supper homage.

I think this is my favorite issue of the order so far.

After the amazing shackled Kronos full-page splash, the visual representation of Thanos becoming a god is a huge letdown. If godhood means becoming a neon-colored head-outline imposed over a starfield, I think I'll pass. Come on Starlin, I've just read issues 27-29, so I know you've got a more impressive visual imagination than that.

Extra star just for the stunning full-page art of shackled Kronos. Such a beautiful and powerful image. Starlin's art and story plotting have really elevated many of the titles at this point in the order.

  - the art on the opening splash is all kinds of off, what the hell? I couldn't help but mentally switch CM & MM's costumes though
- I would gleefully read pages and pages of Thanos listing everyone he is going to kill for whatever petty reason
- Pretty great splash page of Kronos, I have a scan of the original comic and it is far more impressive than the Marvel Unlimited digital version. Maybe it's the lack of paper texture, even with the sharper colors the mouthfeel is wrong- - too smooth
- I love this issue because it is so significant but had no idea it was. At the time it was just a cool comic, time has made it meaningful. We don't have to deal with endless trumpeting of its self-importance. I miss that. I wish creators would just get on with the work and if it matters we'll find it.
- I feel like Starlin let Milgrom finish a lot of the art

I feel like I just read a novel. There were more words in this comic then in the Wheel of Time series!

Really enjoyed this story, and this arc overall. I see now how it fits into the overall narrative, considering the side-arc in Daredevil had interrupted this arc. The writers are really doing a nice job inter-weaving the storylines and keeping them coherent. There are a lot of facets to this story, and the beauty of having the Order is to see all those facets at work in their proper context.

I see that Moondragon is keeping her promise to herself and not even thinking about Daredevil. Maybe she saw enough into his mind and learned what all he's done to Black Widow and Karen Page. If so, would you blame her for staying away from him?

This arc is establishing Thanos as the numero uno baddie in the Marvel Universe. You have to believe he's doing to do everything he's threatening to do, in ways that just aren't credible when any other villain says them. The threat level makes this one of Maarvel's best early arcs.

4 stars. Yeah, the view of Kronos on that splash page was gorgeous and chilling at the same time. One of Starlin's best.

The one thing I don't get here is the timeline. Captain Marvel was heading out towards San Francisco, which led to the Daredevil distraction. But then 2 months later, Moondragon goes into space, and it's now long enough after that that she's come back. What the hell was Thanos doing for all that time? He already had the cube before Mar-Vell even met Moondragon! Whatever it was, I'm going to say it sucked to be Mentor and Eros for that time, he would have been just insufferable.
