Issue Review
   December 3, 2015
This has nice balance between (good, exciting) action in New York and the 2nd part of Iron Fistís origin (told in flashback). The climax of the battle is cool. Probably because - I suppose - Iron Fist is cool. 7/10

I really loved how they alternate between the story and Iron Fist's flashback, but this would be even more awesome without that narration style.

Uncle Yu-Ti is so very kind, yet looks distractingly evil. This is literally the first time I've seen a good guy wear a shroud like that.
Who needs expensive and time consuming tattoos? Hug an immortal serpent today! Though I don't understand one thing about the mark. Why is Danny's mark facing the same way as the symbol on the monk's robes? I would think that the mark on the serpent and their mark would match, but it doesn't, and the only reason Danny's was that way was because he was hugging the serpent so it mirrored onto him and I've gone cross-eyed...

That was pretty great! The fight was awesome I like it when the villain is a worthy opponent and holds the upper hand for a bit. But the Fist is just too good!

A bunch of bad guys looking to bag a Fist for a Fistful of Dollars. A little bit of a surprise, since Meacham isn't supposed to know what happened to little Danny. But Yu-Ti is wrong; revenge is a dish best served warm with a side of fries and an ice cold beer.

I did find it a little odd that Iron Fist would parade around the city in his fighting garb. Inconspicuous much, Daniel? But he should be powerful enough to put away just about anyone without working up a sweat; his initial trouble with Mr. Scythe can probably be chalked up to a bit of inexperience against street brawlers.

4 stars. Embrace your inner dragon.

Danny could have avoided all those fights just by buttoning up his shirt.
