A few too many traps in this issue, but I enjoy the mystery of how this Meachum dude expects his coming when he shouldn't have any idea.

Iron Fist is currently the most interesting hero, but the dialogue is pulling it back a notch.

Good issue. Iron Fist is starting out strong.

I wonder what happens to people on legit business when they go to that top floor...

Not a good building to go into searching for a bathroom.
Loved the flow of the issue, you could almost see this working as a movie, going from one set-piece to the next. Only thing that really bugged me is that Danny apparently didn't notice that he only went up 6 floors as opposed to 20. I mean if he came out on the 18th and didn't notice then that's understandable, but c'mon!
Thought it was cool as well that Danny doesn't have a word of dialogue until the last panel. There was no need and the creative team were willing to let his actions speak for themselves.

Great action! Talk about jumping out of the frying pan and into the fire over and over again. I like Doug Moench as a writer too, he had great stories for Moon Knight

So anyone could walk in off the street, take the elevator to the top floor, walk down a corridor, and be attacked with killer traps including machine gun fire. Seems legit. Probably cost a lot for insurance though.

  - You realize that Larry Hama is not as un-bad as the delirium wrought through Gil Kane's pencils

- You give silent thanks to the steady hand of Dick Giordano, who you've come to realize is the real puppet master here

- You hate 2nd person narration and unnecessary verbiage but appreciate, like the crane appreciates the fish that gives up its own precious life so that it may continue to live, that every action Iron Fist takes has a name

- You start composing an Iron Fist visits the bathroom story in your head using this style

- You like a good death trap story, you hope there is a good explanation for why Meachum has everything set up like this

- Now Playing "You" Au Pairs

If the programming team that put together Final Fantasy VII and the raid on the Shinra building had been smoking powerful stuff, this issue is probably what Cloud and Barrett would've had to go through.

But just imagine any visitor to Meachum's building having to use the bathroom.

"Hey, where's the men's room?"
"Down that corridor and to the left."
"Never mind, don't need to use it anymore. But would you send a cleaning crew to this location?"

4 stars. A bit long on narration, but the actions do speak for themselves.

I love the idea that instead of imprisoning Wendell Rand's followers on their staff and forcing them to sing Disney ride songs, he spent his time thinking up elaborate traps just in case Danny had survived and came looking for revenge.

I would hate to be the intern that has to bring the boss his coffee every morning.

If this series would lose the Conwayitis, it would be even better. As it is, it's a good and solid story, waaaay better than the Netflix series. (More action, less corporate porn).

Three Stars.
