Night Flight to Terror was actually very good - I was impressed. The rest, not so much.

Confessing to not reading the text story.

Tough issue to rate. I thoroughly enjoyed Night Flight to Terror, but was bored by the Cagliostro story. I was surprised by the text story, the first such medium in the order so far. And I don't know what to think of that last page they call a story.

I liked the first 2 or 3, with night flight being the best of the bunch.

Anyone else think that the text story, being properly illustrated would have been the best strip?
How does a team of doctors in a hospital study two vampires, and the only thing they have to say is that they're low on blood. How about the lack of pulse and breathing? There's lots of shiny surfaces in the ER, nobody noticed he lacked a reflection?
Even in their black and white books they toned down Vlad's violence. He wasn't putting heads on sticks, he was staking live bodies on on poles a dozen feet in the air and letting gravity kill them slowly.

Dracula's reaction to his blood transfusion was very funny.

Night Flight got me off guard. Didn't realize the plane will actually blown up. Extra star

I like how Dracula spends his time killing people who have offended or inconvenienced him in extremely inefficient and creative ways.

If Dracula's past few appearances tell me something, it's that it's a good thing he isn't a social media presence. I don't think anyone could troll this guy and not pay for it. He's schooled the likes of Cagliostro, Louis Belski, now some poor schlub with a death wish.

An especially dark story, even for the magazine. The plane blowing up was quite a development. Even more so was the narrative focus on some of the passengers that didn't survive. I also liked Drac's reactions to the transfusion, and the fate he subjected the hijacker to. I agree with the other commenters; one of the better Dracula stories in the Order so far.

3 stars.

The first half was great, I actually cared about the plane blowing up because they took the time to introduce the passengers. Then Dracula woke up.
