Non-stop action with a good story at the back of it.
The lead character is very likeable, and his dilemma is a fascinating one. 9/10

I'm surprised so far by the quality of the Kung Fu stories. Another pleasant surprise in the Order!

I just had to subtract one star from this because the Asian stereotypes are just too thick. Even the walls are inscrutable, apparently. But since it was otherwise a four star story, it still is good in my book.

Shag-Chi is a such wonderful character. To think I wanted to skip this series.

That was an awesome Confucius proverb at the end.

I kinda found the ending to be hokey, but overall it was a good story. And it was a cool way to bring the series back to that first issue.
Anyone else think the knight on the left side of the splash page looked like Snake-Eyes?
Interested to see in the future if Denis is able to see Shang-Chi as anything but an enemy. Any that Black Jack brute doesn't hit me as someone that would forget a beating.

I had to smirk at the racist epithets directed toward Shang-Chi. It was interesting to see that several of his enemies here had no respect for him. It's extra gratifying when that lack of respect bites their collective butts down the line.

Both Iron Fist and Shang-Chi series have been excellent so far. While I don't think Blackjack would make a good long-term arch-enemy, I hope he comes back at least a couple more times. The fight between him and Shang-Chi was a bit too short, and the quick wiry fighter versus the heavy brute usually makes intriguing match-ups.

4 stars; the ending just nudging this into 4-star territory. It leaves the relationship between Shang-Chi and Sir Denis ambiguous and unresolved, and that's a good thing for now.

That's a nice little ending, but muscles don't really work like that. He'd have all of the atrophy.
