Adam Warlock and The Hulk make a much better partnership than I could ever have predicted. Very enjoyable. As are the developments on Counter-Earth, leading to a (typically) symbolic end of chapter. 9/10

I think I've seen this last scene somewhere before.

I loved the conversation between Warlock and Hulk. IMO it's some of the best writing Conway has done. I also really like how far they've taken the religious overtones in the Warlock story. The last supper with Hulk as Judas and Warlock as Jesus was a priceless scene. This sure must have upset a lot of people back in the day.

Last supper, trial by mob and crucifixion coupled by a cry for help to "God" (High Evolutionary). That has to be the most completed metaphor of Warlock as the Christ.

  Adam Warlock, Superstar?
The passion of the Warlock?
Would it he blasphemous to yell out Adam Warlock if I stub my toe?

A little heavy handed, but I really liked it. 4 Stars.

  The Hulk/Warlock scene was awesome.

So...didn't the cover say there was going to be a Warlock/Hulk fight? Must have missed that.
So with all the Christ metaphores, surely the readers back then knew that Warlock would not long remain dead, right? Only question is will it take longer than 3 days?

This arc has turned a corner and become way cool. I have to agree with everyone about how well the Warlock/Christ parallel was done here, right down to the "Last Supper" scene and the transmitter device that made the Hulk go berserk (like Judas's betrayal), and the platform that Warlock was bound to, crucifix style.

At this point, I'm hoping this arc wraps up Counter-Earth, but it probably won't while Roy Thomas holds the editorial reins (I believe he liked the parallel Earth concept DC was running with the JLA/JSA team-ups). While I like this so far, I still can't wait for Adam Warlock to go cosmic.

4 stars. Basic concept but fantastic execution. I find it hard to believe Conway actually wrote this.

Anyone else notice that after several days of stirring up the country, Man-Beast has kept Bruce Banner shirtless?

Vincent & Volper, the Justice Department nerds, roll around in a government car with a THX 1138 license plate. That is an *incredibly* obscure reference for 1974.
