Issue Review

Major change of pace, as the Hulk returns to Earth and Len Wein delivers an issue long on story, short on action. Except for the fantasy angle, it could almost be an episode from the Incredible Hulk tv show. 7/10

This issue reminded me of the TV show. I could almost hear the sad, walking away piano music at the end.

I liked this issue, and it definitely reminded me of the mediocre tv series.

I quite enjoyed the emotional elements in this comic.. but the end was a little disappointing.

Loved the writing part, especially the first half of the issue. It had been a while since we had quality Banner time.

Story was decent, even though it was a bit slow.

I like these tragic stories. Sometimes puts life into perspective.

While his radiation builds up again, the whole town is going to get slowly sick and die over time, and they will never even know it. Or he will explode and kill them all that way. Surprisingly dark ending.

Forget about WHEN his radiation builds up again, he just exploded in the middle of town like an A-bomb! Not to mention since the mine appears to be the primary source of jobs in town anyone that survived that will be out of work for a while. And since there's no cure for radiation sickness, that little boy is toast.

That'll teach me to judge a book by its cover. I saw the Missing Link and thought this was going to be a total dud, but I actually quite enjoyed it...despite everything that duncanm pointed out.

Yeah, I also thought at first glance of the cover, the Missing Link is one character that should've stayed missing. Turned out to be the sentiment story, too, but within context. Poor Jimmy-Jack. It was something that Lincoln actually realized what he was inadvertently doing to him.

Also enjoyed Banner's scenes with the family taking him in. That's probably one of the most serene shots of Bruce since the series first started. It was kind of refreshing and gives you a certain perspective about life.

3 stars, a pleasant surprise given an otherwise forgettable foe.

I'm surprised by how interesting they're making the Talbot subplot. I never thought I would actually want to spend time reading about anything related to Betty.
