  Parachute arrow? Oh c'mon!

Retro-rocket-arrow and parachute-arrow. And here's to think Hawkeye couldn't have stooped any lower after his ridiculous post-Skrull-Kree-war-outfit!

Quasimodo is as boring a villain as they may come, but I liked the interaction between these two smart mouths.

Hawkeye is Adam West Batman, but instead of having anti-shark repellent in his utility belt, it's a parachute arrow, and an anti-plot bad story arrow.

I liked it. Nice to see Hawkeye again after some time off, and you have to believe that the writers are in on the joke of him having an arrow for everything. No sillier than Batman having a gadget for everything on his belt.
Speaking of gadgets, I love that Spidey's robot cloak failed, and he's just like "What, I had no time to make anything good!"

To bad the two of them working together never became a regular thing.

I don't know if the sweating is really what gave you away, Hawkeye. Could have been the purple hood.

Pretty poor issue by 1974 standards. Lots of ridiculousness, especially Hawkeye's trick shot at the end. C'mon!

Extra star for a good ending. And I didn't hate the parachute arrow, I mean, it did come in handy!

Hey, this issue was fun; exactly the type of story I expected from Marvel Team-Up when the title first started. Goofy, campy, mindless fun if you don't try to pick it apart too much, with a good amount of suspension-of-belief (like Hawkeye's shot at the end). And this more or less depicts street crime which is more Spidey's stock and trade anyway. The plot comes from a mid 60s Avengers mag. And the banter between Spidey and Hawakeye was funny; clearly a pair of wise guys trying to outdo each other while fighting the bad guys.

Of course, Hawkeye has a parachute arrow and a retro-rocket-arrow. It's kept in his quiver next to the anti-shark-repellent arrow!

2 stars. Hey, did anyone get a feeling of deja vu over Quasimodo's little wheeled robot? Didn't that little pipsqueak look like an early Ultron prototype from Avengers #58?

You know what? If Iron Man can have roller blades, Hawkeye can have a parachute arrow. Although how he keeps hold of it is a mystery the laws of science have yet to understand.
