I kind of wish they would have better explained Tony Stark's discovery of how he can remove his armour safely, but all the same, a good story and the end of a nice little arc.

Also, nice to see Captain America's origin at last! I am really surprised to hear that they're going to be breaking up the timeline so that here he's in the 40s, but in Avengers he's in the 60s though!

Origin of Captain America, by Lee and Kirby. Not sure why someone would criticize that.

I'd say having the Captain America feature be WWII stories is probably the best move Stan could have made. The man knows his audience.

Iron Man story was blah, how does his engagement explain him laying sick in bed last issue, the resolution to the story sucked, Happy's kind of a dick, blah blah blah.

Now to the important matters...THAT'S how you do a Captain America story, and I'm glad Stan finally figured it out. The story was great, and that artwork was amazing. Those were some of the most dynamic action scenes I've seen yet in a Marvel comic. Bucky's a fun sidekick who isn't annoying, and these stories have weight to them, making Bucky's death meaningful. I haven't read any golden age Cap stories so I don't know how much are going to be either reprints, retellings, or what, but THIS is the right direction for a solo Captain America feature.

I give it four stars for the incredible Capt America origin story. The Ironman story is pretty hard to get through.

Iron Man was lame and I'm so sick of the same romance melodrama repeating over and over in so many of Stan's comics. The guy really needed to bed someone so he could get past whatever this all is.

On the other hand, Captaim America was awesome! Definitely one of most dynamic issues yet in the order. Fantastic pace, great story, good action; I hope we get a lot more of this!

had the iron man story been as good as the previous few then i would have rated this book 4 stars. it was a very disappointing end to a pretty good run. i especially disliked the love triangle silliness between stark, happy and pepper. it made stark come off a bit wet. the villain was a bit rubbish as well.

the cap origin was fair enough though. best cap story so far (which isn't that hard considering!) and as other commenters have stated, this is a good way to deal with him by taking him back to the war with bucky- gives us marvelites a taste of the golden age and some of bucky's history too! "i'm gonna work you hard boy day and night!" oo-eer!

before Stark found this "fix" he was wearing the chestplate under his clothes; this wasn't good enough so he had to be iron man all the time, then Stark finds a "fix" which allows him to remove everything but the chestplate which he wears under his clothes...........
