Issue Review
   April 6, 2016
No real story. Luke Cage is attacked by generic baddies, for a generic slugfest. Mild twist at end. It's also an annoying story because it 'interferes' the progression of a much more interesting story arc. And, as I read it, I was just waiting for it to be over (quickly) so Luke could get back to going after his lady. 5/10

I'd like to give that another star, but Ron Wilson is just awful.

Not to bad. Cage was pretty good this issue.

Good issue. The reasoning behind the lame villains make them not so lameish.

I dunno, all I see from those villains is lame. Didn't feel much investment in this story at all, maybe because he gelled so well with the Defenders. Also tracking the girl that left him all the way across the country seems a bit desperate and unwise. Don't know that anything good will come from it.

What's so awful about Ron Wilson? He's not outstanding but I don't see anything bad with his art here.

Well, it's been two years since I read this, but I'll trust two years ago Skalchemist's judgement that it stinks.

The Luke Cage stuff has so far rarely been great, but it's not been bad either. It's a nice distraction every now and then.

Heck, this title even at its worst never fails to entertain. For awhile this wasn't one of the better issues, until the reveal near the end. *Spoiler* But I have a hard time with the notion that a respectable prison warden would condone the methods of his two sons on the streets. Maybe I'm missing something. *end spoiler*

3 stars. Does anyone else here think that Claire did NOT send that second postcard with the address on it?

The villains in this one are sooo lame. (How lame are they?) When they yell "Captain Marvel" they end up wearing blue spandex and a cape.

Story is okay. It has a lot of connections to Luke's past but...

Wilson's art is bad. It's not the worse we've seen so far in the Order but heads and bodies are out of proportion and at times you're not sure what is going on. Vinnie Colletta did not help at all.

Two stars.

Fruitboots! That’s rich coming from two guys who should be drawn by Tom of Finland.

Probably the worst Power Man yet, but, as Russ points out, still entertaining. The art was no help. Maybe it was a deadline thing and this isn’t the new Luke Cage baseline.
