Issue Review

Enjoyable tale which finds a way to bring two of the Marvel monsters together.
It's a rare hero vs hero fight that really interests me, but this one does. It's really cool to see these two scrap, and to see which one will eventually win.
The rest of the story is okay. Pretty ludicrous, really, as it gets the WBN characters involved with a cult.
The hero's sister sure makes a habit of getting kidnapped.

Thank goodness that Jack decided to check on his sister that day. And that the bad guys left a note saying who they were. And that Jack's buddy knew where the cult was. And that all of this happened on the day of the full moon.
They keep trying to make us feel sorry for Frankie by showing people treat him like a monster because of his looks. However they also keep showing his actions, like where he's happy to let an innocent girl be murdered so that he can be pretty, and you see that he really is a monster.

Yeeeaaah! Wereweolf and Frankie! My favourite characters! Written by Doug Moench! My favourite writer! In giant-size!

It actually wasn't as terrible as I expected...

Pretty weak sauce here. It wasn't horrible, just a way to get Werewolf and Frankie into the same story. For me, the only real thing that stood out was the way Vayla met his demise; that was brutal!

2 stars. I see Jack still doesn't know moon cycles after all this time. Nice to see how some things stay reliable!

At this point if they want to put the JackWolf in a credible fight with another Marvel character they better just ring up Aunt May ... and I'll still put my money on Mrs. Parker in that bout.
