A new Goliath equals a new ineffectual character. Why can artists not be able to draw a fifteen foot guy to scale, this constant changing of size just really annoys me.

Yeah, they really need to stick to their scaling when they draw giant dudes. He's supposed to be 15 feet and in one panel his hand is the size of a full grown man!
Also, Claire dumps her husband and immediately makes out with another guy right in front of him. That's cold!

Thanks to the circus, that was a really subpar issue.

  Bill "Temple"? Who's that??

One star for Black Goliath clearly murdering those acrobats by crushing them in his fist. One star for the possibility that Luke Cage banged Black Goliath's ex-wife right in front of him in that tent. The rest is unreadable garbage...

That 15 foot talk dude must feel 15 micrometers tall at the end.. Damn, what a bold citch...

Yeah, I was estimating Goliath's size as fluctuating between 10 and 40 feet. Heck, he was changing size while knocked out. And speaking of visual weirdness, I know that Clair was supposed to have thrown the scepter at Luke's head, the actual illustration looks like Strong Man spit it at him.
The worst thing about this issue was that the Circus had to carry the story since the two heroes were out of it for half of the issue.

How pathetic is your criminal career when D.W. is the one who collars you?

"The Circus of Crime! My favorite villains team!", said no one ever.

Why would the seemingly competent cowboy seek out and join that chickenshit outfit run by a cheesy megalomaniac with a stupid hat? Was Kingpin not hiring enforcers that week?

  Russ Says:

For awhile there, I was starting to wonder if Livewire was actually Montana from the Enforcers, except, he seemed morally ambiguous here instead of a hardened criminal like Montana was. I bet the real Montana, lame as he is, would stay far away from this ragtag band of losers.

Claire going with Luke in front of Bill was a real cold move. She seemed to lean toward reuniting with Bill last issue, but made up her mind here. Better hope another man doesn't turn her head, Luke!

2 stars. Ringmaster might want to rethink using that hypnotism hat if he's that susceptible to it.
