Issue Review
   February 2, 2016
Spectacular stuff, bringing the current story arc to a satisfactory culmination. Doug Moench skilfully uses all the characters well. And what a disparate group they are, all trapped on this island (some injured or held prisoner), with hours to go before the next full moon. Tension mounts. Eventually we get to the resumption of the brother/ sister battle that started last issue. And it's vicious stuff. All leading to a satisfying conclusion. 9/10

Issue Synopsis
Jack, Buck, and Topaz confront a bound Glitternight to get him to restore Lissa, who refuses. They then go to the Spirit of Taboo to help, while Glitternight escapes and abducts Lissa to corrupt her further. Jack transforms and begins to fight his transformed sister again when Taboo sacrifices himself to purify Lissa. Glitternight flees with the Werewolf holding on, until Jack is able to injure Glitternight to the point where his magic explodes throwing Jack into the ocean.

A lot of people have complained about Frank Robbins. Well, Don Perlin is my Frank Robbins. I truly loathe his work.

I knew they were going to cave and take away sister dearest's lycanthropy. And it didn't even make sense. Taboo just went into her throat and ripped out the wolfiness? Give me a break. I might have bought it if they just took away the demon aspect, justified as beating Glitternight, but as a werewolf cure? Come on.

So things that cure being a werewolf: Killing another werewolf, having the soul of a fat dead wizard dude go into your body. Also that whole part confused the crap out of me. Taboo went into Lissa because glitternight stole her soul out of her body so Taboo put his soul into her body to free and cure her. Is a soul not like, what makes you YOU in marvel, its just like battery power? because you'd think that would normally mean that Lissa is now said fat wizard dude living in an 18 year old girls body and really that's way to fanfiction.net for even me.

That was a creepy and sleazy solution. I wonder what Doug's definition of a soul is. Sometimes I wonder if anyone even read these issues before they printed them.

Only 3 issues of this terrible mag left to go. I hate you so much werewolf by night, so much!

Pretty lame ending to what was shaping up to be a halfway decent arc. I could see Lissa eventually being cured, but only after a single issue? This could've kept going a few issues longer without going stale, then apply the cure. Ugh, this was about the only semi-interesting thing this book had going for it.

1 star. The cure itself was pretty creepy too. Not in a good way.
