Wow. I've would expect that kind of story from third or fourth issue of Fantastic Four, but not from 14th issue of Avengers. It's just one huge step back. Shame!

This issue was pretty lame, but did anybody else catch the similarities to Empire Strikes Back? There's a galactic war, the noble side is losing and they escape to an icy hidden planet, the evil empire's armada sends out lots of probe droids to visit planets, one finds the hiding rebels, they're able to destroy the probe but not before it relays their location back to the evil empire, and the rebels have to start a massive evacuation of their icy hidden fortress.

I was half-hoping the Wasp would stay down... Oh well, too much to hope for, I guess.

The sub-sub title should be 'but they won't in this issue'.

Wow, I didn't pick up on the Empire Strikes Back similarities, but yeah that definitely fits! Now we know where George Lucas got his inspiration! Next issue I bet Zemo comes back and says: "Captain America, I am your father!"

The Avengers are finally turning out some decent issues. Not bad at all. The pacing was fantastic here, and the alien subplot was delightfully out of nowhere. That artwork on the Watcher was seriously crappy though, probably the worst I've seen.

I've grown accustomed to Stan Lee having almost no scientific knowledge, but the whole "lung x-ray" bit was simplification and ignorance at its finest. And only one doctor on the planet can help a bullet wound to the lung? Gimme a break. And of course knowing that breathing difficulty in a gunshot victim could hint at a punctured lung obviously means that person has had medical training. It's so simple. I could go on an on with how stupid this story was.

Does anyone else find it odd that Giant Man stays in his large form all the time? Even while sitting in a waiting room?
