Some things seem rushed, and some pointless things happen for dramatic effect, but this is an enjoyable conclusion. Itís a shame this series got cancelled, as there was potential here. 6/10

Issue Synopsis

Morbius and Stroud find Martine has been turned into a vampire. While they fight her Stroud learns that the vampires are radioactive and Morbius might be the cause. Martine escapes and is chased by Stround and later by Morbius who caries a potential cure for her. A battle ensues between the three until Stroud is able to inject and cure Martine, who is then ravaged by Morbius. She is taken to the hospital where Morbius declares he can never be cured and flees into the night.

-I thought it took three days to turn into a vampire.
-I really don't think the police would let Mo just hang out in the hospital like that.
-This book wasn't so bad, and it was unfortunately cancelled before they got around to adequately (IMO) explaining the "atomic" vampire story line.

Not three days when it comes to this breed of scientific Morbius-created vampires. Not that it matters, the storyline is as dead as the title.

See you in a while, Morb!

What a cop out. This would have been 4 stars if she died.

The phrase "Atomic Vampire" made me chuckle.

Why couldn't the entire series be as good as the last few issues? Why is it the best writing and stories comes when a series is about to get cancelled?

Next from the Marvel house of ideas, Atomic Vampires. That was funny. Still lame though.

So...during the 1.5 seconds between last issue and this one apparently everyone became convinced that Morbius is responsible for these vampires? Even after the scientist comes in and says that they found radioactivity in the vampire's blood, that doesn't mean it has anything to do with Morbius. And even if it was due to him, how does his blood cure something that was caused by his blood? And how did they get his blood in them anyways? He sucked out all of theirs not put some of his in them. Even with "real" vampires they need to give blood as well as take it to create another vamp.
Why is Morbius such a liar in this one? First when he's looking for Martine he says that he had to choose whether to give the cure to her or himself because he could only make one, then later says he knows it wouldn't work on him, because he already tried. Then after he drinks up Martine he screams that he killed her, and then 30 seconds later is like "Dude, stop hitting me, I didn't kill her."

Atomic Vampires? For a minute, I thought we would be getting Professor X involved due to the mutations that were being implied here.

Plus, "Atomic Vampire" sounds like a dance groove George Clinton would've thought up!

Again, like the rest of this arc, the story had some good ideas and played them for some interesting drama, but the errors and inconsistencies dragged it down. At least I have the explanation I was looking for in those inconsistencies, but it was almost as if it was written in to create an out for Martine and her vampirism. Personally, I think she should've stayed a vampire, and come back to plague Morbius (and maybe even Dracula?) in the future. #dontwasteopportunities

2 stars, and a C- for the series. It wasn't bad, and showed some sparks of life on occasion. It was just a shame they didn't really think the plots through well enough to derive a solid storyline, because it had enough elements to do that. In short, being a Marvel vampire sucks.
