Issue Review

Basically a slug fest issue, with a flashback in the middle to tell us a bit about the lead up to the fight. Nothing particularly interesting about the fight, and MK comes across a bit of a jerk. As for the story, itís a bit of cheat to reveal (slowly) that Buck (thought murdered last issue) isnít dead after all. And, as usual for this series, all the regular characters make very dumb choices. Annoying. 4/10

Moon Knight is cool, but Don Perlin...I'll stop complaining about him now.

Good to see Moon Knight, but I'm a little disappointed by his origin in this though. I assume that gets retconned.

What is with all the 1-2 frames of Coker here and there the last few issues? Get to the point already! Moon Knight was just alright. I don't know much about him, but I am assuming he is a character of significance.

I am a Moon Knight fan, so I may be biased, but was looking forward to reading this one again.

BAM! Moon-Knight out of nowhere! Always did have a softspot for the answer to "What if Batman was actually nuts?" Well first off he would wear an extremely bright and reflective suit in order to blend into the night.
@illcom94 If I remember correctly, it doesn't get retconned so much as built upon.
The heck is going on with that Coker subplot? Two issues in a row he gets three random panels, and two of the panels here are nearly identical to last issue. I really hope we don't get a story that plays out one panel at a time.
They played everyone's reactions to Buck's attack pretty expertly. Honestly not knowing if he lives or dies, it leaves me with suspense. Even if that jerk doctor did try to trick us into thinking he was already dead, by saying "There's nothing more we can do." as his covered body is wheeled away, when the last panel he was in he was trying to resuscitate Buck.

God help me I actually enjoyed these last two issues of Werewolf By Night.

Maybe because the last issue had the Werewolf as something to be feared for a change. And watching Moon Knight kick the Werewolf around like it wasn't a big deal was also fun. Moon Knight is such a good character.

Am I bad for wishing that Moon Knight had killed the werewolf?

Awesome Moon Knight debut. Probably not worth having read the preceding 31 issues of WBN, but still pretty awesome.

I think they tried to convey the fact than Moon Knight is a badass . It works, but then again, I cannot just forget that Wolfie gets owned by EVERYONE all the time.
(I was actually shocked he wasn't beaten by Button, the 6 years old little girl from last issue.)

The origin doesnt mention Khonshu. I dont remember anything else that details where he got the costume....so maybe this happens when he gets back from the desert? Im reaching here...

Well, with the introduction of Moon Knight at least SOMETHING good has come from this series.
