How long does The Absorbing Man keep the qualities of the material that he touches? Seems like he would just have a suit made of Adamantium or Vibranium and then run around kickin' ass! Actually in that case, shouldn't he just have the power of the cloth pants he's wearing?

It's not what he touches, but what he consciously absorbs while touching. Putting him in a cardboard box while he is already cardboard will keep him from turning into anything other than cardboard. Of course, this raises the question, why can't he turn into oxygen, nitrogen or CO2 (the primary elements of air)?

  Aw man, poor Sif!

I want Sif back. The continuing existence of Jane Foster is a lousy trade.

Wait, how does the ending of this not make it an essential issue? Seems pretty essential to me...

Now Creel knows how a toy feels like.

  Interesting ending for Sif.

Why did Sif need Hercules to stay? She did everything, and Hercules could have gone out and helped Thor against the Absorbing Man.

  bharbeke Says:
  2015-12-03 06:13:51
I thought Creel had already absorbed Thor's hammer's power earlier in the story. Why was he trying to absorb it again in the store?

  duncanm Says:
  2016-01-01 00:51:37
Yeah, made no sense that Creel tried to absorb Mjolnir again, since he had already done so, and it had obviously not worn off, so that ending is pretty severely flawed.
Also, didn't Jane's memory get wiped by Odin? So what with this "Thor my darling" business.
Okay, while I complained about it last issue, I suppose since she did give up her life, Sif was entitles to her one more martyr speech from this issue.

  Vancelot Says:

Yay. No more Sif, and we get Jane Foster back. Wait. WTF Marvel!

  jwerth Says:
  2016-03-12 17:47:45
Bold move by Conway bringing Jane Foster back. Now let's see if he can do more with her than the boring helpless damsel shtick that Stan kept recycling.

  Shinderu Says:
  2017-11-21 05:47:53
Jane: Abandoned Thor when she was confronted with what being with him entails.
Sif: Sacrificed her life so Thor can be happy.

I don't understand why Jane is such a major character nowadays while Sif is pretty much invisible (admittedly I don't know that happened in between).

  Russ Says:
  2017-12-23 13:12:29
So, Sif now lives on within Jane? Most awkward threesome ever.

Yeah, I'm curious as to what Creel absorbed before he touched the toy hammer. I thought he still had the properties of uru when he touched Thor's actual hammer last issue. Huge story hole there, but it was funny to see Creel try to fight and have his arm crumple up.

3 stars, mostly for the Thor-Creel fight, but I was tempted to dock a star for both resolutions; the fight, and Jane.
