Another battle based on misunderstandings. That, and Rick Jones is still an annoying idiot. Going to bet Drax realizes Thanos is still alive and that'll be the end of it.

Fascinating slugfest. It works because both characters have interesting motivations. And the battle in space is cool. 9/10

Loved the art and I was very pleased by the return of the Destroyer.

If there's no sound in space, how could the writers know that smashing Mar-vell against an asteroid would make a Kar-Thooooom sound?

I wish the beginning hadn't been so stupid. The last 2/3 was pretty great.

A tale of 2 stories here. Well 3 I guess, if you count the Rick/Marv domestic dispute that started us off which was silly. The Mar'vell/Drax fight was actually really cool, and there was a genuine reason behind the aggression rather than just a misunderstanding.
What really dragged this down to the two star level for me was Rick's story. Even Rick, a character that is mocked and reviled for being stupid, annoying, and pointless, has never been THIS stupid, annoying, or pointless. Completely at ease with the fact that his mystery girl has planet hopped, knowing he would be there, and surely has no ulterior motives. Even when she's constantly trying to get him to take off his helmet on a planet that he can't breathe on. Hell, even Mar-Vell had trouble breathing on the planet and he can breathe in space.
The art continues to be pretty rough in this book as well.

Look, Rick is growing up! Finally! Oh, wait, he's maturing into a young Johnny Storm...

Rick is SO DUMB. It takes a special kind of stupid to enumerate all the reasons why you should not do something, WHILE doing the said thing.

I assume the galactic awareness/7th sense thing lets him sense stuff out in space that would ve otherwise imperceptible.

I am rolling with it.

Well on his way to a Darwim Award.

Everyone above pretty much said it already. It would serve Rick right to breathe in that poisonous air and keel over dead just because some sexy brunette told him to. It's just nature's way of weeding out the brain-dead so they don't get a chance to procreate.

Quite a fight with Drax there. It looked like Mar-Vell simply had no chance at all. But you'd think Drax would be thanking Mar-Vell instead of pounding him into corn mush. Honor and purpose can be a funny thing in the Marvel Universe. It still all makes me wonder if Drax had killed Thanos himself; what would he be doing now? Be constantly picking fights with himself?

3 stars. Inconsistent but fun story. Hearing harp music yet, Rick? Rick? (If this is a dream, don't wake me.....dangit!)
