Story-driven issue, a sword-and-sorcery tale, which keeps MT in the background except for some very poignant character moments and some very enjoyable battle sequences where he kicks ass. 8/10

Cool cover. The art is good, but the coloring is a little muddy.

I liked it, specially the Dakimh x Klonus battle, but Man-Thing is a guest-character on his own magazine here, the story almost could exist without him.

I have a hard time giving this one star, because Alcala did a very good job, but this was just pointless and boring.

This was fun and well thought out. The only thing that would have made it better would have been Howie.

Nice to see Dakimh, Jen, and Korrek back in. Only took them about 20 issues to figure out they are decent characters. Decent story.

The art in this was phenomenal, although I still kinda miss Ploog.

The story was really good over all. A swords and sorcery tale that works well in the context of the Marvel U, but I can't help but feel that it was a little more convoluted than it needed to be.
@Nexus - I actually found Man-Thing to be a bigger part of this story than most, as he is usually on the outside of the plot. In this issue though he saved Korrek at the beginning, destroyed the dragon-serpent with some sick stop-sign-fu styling, And killed/incapacitated two of the three villains of the piece. He's also more lucid than he usually is, having more memories and emotions than he usually would, even if they don't last.
Korrek's fairy tale was a little disturbing. Doesn't help that it ended with "And they lived rape-ily ever after."

My wife asked me what I was reading. She did a double take when I said, Giant-Size Man Thing.
It doesn't help that dirty ol' Dakihm has Jen running around in a barely there bikini!

Great art and interesting story! I was kinda hoping this would mark Howard's return though.

This was a huge helping of modern sword and sorcery. Too bad it didn't come with a side of duck.

Man-Thing rarely drives any story he's in, acting maybe one or twice the entire time, but maybe there was something in the air in Dakihm's probably nudged Ted Sallis's psyche a little. Hence Man-Thing's lashing out at Dakihm's alchemy equipment.

But Jennifer's outfit? I guess Steve Gerber forgot that Jennifer's still a teenager. Hey Dakihm? Miley Cyrus on line two; she wants her stage costume back.

3 stars, but I debated giving it two. It was fun in places, but a little boring, and disturbing in a couple of places.
