Issue Review
   October 20, 2013
There’s some interesting ideas in play here, but the dialogue is awful, causing a constant disconnection between audience and story. It ends, unresolved, on a cliff-hanger but it is difficult to care. 4/10

See you later Man-Wolf. Don't let the door hitcha on the way out.

At the end of the run he started to grow on me a little, as they were pursuing the lunar/scientific-aspect of his identity more and more.

I love Man-Wolf, so I had to struggle through these awful issues. The first three were very enjoyable, the last 5 has been one of the worst runs from Marvel to date (as of '75 that is) and very difficult to get through.

I gotta admit, I like where this is headed, but this whole run has been average at best. The only thing I really enjoyed about it was the JJJ stuff, he's given a bit more depth here and it helps the character a lot.

That was bad, don't get me wrong, but I really did like the crew of the space station. They were all brave professionals, doing their best in a tough situation. I also liked the fact that women seemed to be completely equal members of the crew with very little comment; a nice touch in an otherwise dumb story.

I'm so... Eh... Glad to we this ... Issue cone to an end.

Glad this is over. The only cool thing to happen in the entire series was the xray on the last page of this issue.

But the stone didn't attach itself to Jamesonson, Morbius did it. I know that comics retcon things all the time, but that was not very long ago.
Terrible way to end this story, the letters' page breakdown of where it was going actually sounded promising, almost Adam Warlock-like. I hope they come up with some way to show some of it, rather than just having him show up in New York again like nothing happened.

Like the early Perez art, but the story is a total mess.

The story in this series was unfortunately driven by coincidental occurrences. The 2-page spread in each issue was always a highlight, though.

I started to enjoy this once it got goofy. The early issues felt like even duller WWbN stories, but between SHIELD and space stations hijacked by extra-dimensional aliens in search of a spacegod-creating crystal things were getting kinda fun.

So, this dog of a series ends pretty up the same way Old Yeller did; a mercy killing. In some ways, it's too bad. It did develop one halfway decent subplot, gave JJJ another dimension to his character, and left us with that really cool x-ray that literally demands more story development. But, too much of what was being worked on here took the series too far sideways. Those goofballs on the space station....I just don't know what to make of them. They definitely didn't belong in the series the way it had been going, but I agree, they were at least fun to read once they were established and explained.

2 stars, and a grade of D+ for the series. The art was a real treat though; George Perez and his two-page spreads were amazing!
