Oddball mixture of disparate elements. part sci-fi monster tale and part superhero slugfest. Itís also surprisingly dark in places. 5/10

Fill-in issue, and it showed. I did enjoy the client-hero interaction in Cage's office and Wilson's double-page bridge-busting splash, but overall it was a weak effort.

I knew this would have a deus ex machina style ending. Apart from the heroes it reads like a golden age monster comic.

It was enjoyable. Better than the previous crap I've read.

That obscure monster is begging to be brought back at some point.

Terrible. I hate how Thing cannot work well with anyone, including the FF. How come the scientist dude doesn't go to jail? It may have been an accident, but two people are dead.

Okay, I call BS on the two person death count. Even assuming that Braggadoom was a complete boy-scout from the time that they lost him to the bridge, you really want to try to tell me that tossing all of those cars around with people in them didn't kill anyone, or even just people falling from the bridge? How about the hundreds of people on that boat that all of a sudden turned 90 degrees on its axis?! Even the damn scientist that started all of this should have probably died, regardless of whether he "hit the water clean".
Thing is pretty insufferable, coming off as an egotistical bully. Not that that's uncommon.
Was there a reason that Mr Scientist spent all that time giving his backstory before telling Cage that there was a giant monster kicking Thing's ass? I imagine that could be one of those "I'll give you the details on the way" type of things.

Dialogue, apart from the overused stutter, was good fun. Plot was, even for Earth 616, ridiculous to the point of not possibly being canon.

The stutter was annoyingly overused and the Cage/Grimm fighting was out of place. Otherwise, I would have given this four stars just for mentioning GW Carver and wuoting Archimedes.
