First half is good fun, second half gets needlessly complex and the story kinda fizzles out. 6/10

Again, Mantlo is spot on with The Thing, providing a couple of great laugh-out-loud lines for Grimm and some classic interaction with Reed and Hellstrom.

Even the puns at the end sucked.

Horrible art and story. Everyone looked Asian. If Reed thought this was so important, why didn't he and/or the FF go too? Stupid.

And Alicia is a pre-cog now? Since when has she gotten "visions" of the future?
Was disappointed that it ended up just being another demon, let alone one that we've already met, as the idea of the cowboy-ghost was the one thing I was actually interested in in this issue.
Don't get why the power of positive thinking got them out of the nooses, but then 10 seconds later, Ben will be killed whether "he believes in her or not."

The Thing's analysis of Daimon Hellstrom is spot on: "I kinda got the gist o' what your act is...an' I don't need it, fella!" Can't believe this guy got his own series.

Suggested listening for this story: "Ghost Town" by the Specials. But this is another one where you're better served just listening to the song and skipping the story.

This was pretty bad, but at least the Thing wasn't being such a jerk like he was the past few issues. His character is better when he's witty and sarcastic, not bullyish and gratuitously destructive.

2 stars. Now that the Thing's crossed ghost towns off his bucket list, let's get back to some decent stories in this title!
