Apart from character stuff (for Dr. Doom) at the start, the rest is mostly standard action-fare with Namor. Given that it carries over so many characters/villains and storylines, this new series reads like a continuation of the Namor series that preceded it. 6/10

The art in this one was average, but compared to last issue it was a freaking DaVinci.
I'm curious if this is going to continue to just be Subby and Doom. I'm of two minds about that. On the one hand, if it's just the two of them, they could have come up with a different title, and I'm still not sure about calling Namor a super-villain. On the other hand, this is my favorite team up book so far, because it has actual ongoing stories that picked up where their individual books left off.

Ah, Super-Villain Team-Up. In which unlikely allies Attuma, Dorcas, and Tiger Shark come to the heart-warming realization that despite their different races and origins, their shared psychopathic desire for world domination and murder means they're not so different from each other after all.

That is what this book is about, isn't it?

I'm a fan of Namor, and I get that this continues the storyline from his old title, but this is more boring than I remember it. The villains also seem comically bad, especially Tiger Shark, who I remember as being more vicious. Maybe just nostalgia?

I remember this as being better than it actual is. Regardless, I still love the cover. One of the earliest comics I can remember buying.

I'm a little underwhelmed. Too bad, I like the idea behind this title, but so far it's been nothing but posturing on the part of both Namor and DOOM. I understand the reluctance between the two to really pool resources in order to achieve what they're after, and drawing out the reluctance does add a bit of drama to it, so I'll give it that. Overall, this issue feels a bit more like Sub-Mariner #73 instead of Super-Villain Team-Up #1, which isn't a complaint, just an observation.

3 stars. Taking a wait-and-see approach at this point.

Now soliciting titles for Namor/DOOM! Slash fiction

I hate this so much.
