2 stars. This is an unprinted story from the 50's Human Torch series!

'Nuff Said - "That's it...open wide!"-Human Torch

Un-Human vs. Un-Human Torch. The fact that the Un-Human Torch can give a blood transfusion to the Un-Un-Human Torch, errrr I mean, Toro, is Un-Believable!

That's also some haul for the authorities to remove from the city streets. The un-human carcass probably tied up traffic for a couple of weeks until it was all removed.

2 un-stars. Well, I can't say it was un-entertaining.

I like the design on the Un-Human. I also like how in the 50s the Red Planet was run by Commies! This also shows how sensibilities about violence changed by the Vietnam era... Torch and Toro have no problems burning off the Un-Human's parachute, hoping he'll drop to his death, Torch explodes a jug of chloroform in the Un-Human's mouth(!), and just look at the sheer destruction of the buildings as the Un-Human wreaks havoc on the city. Surely hundreds if not thousands would be dead.

Oh good, the early 60's are back!

Toro must have some funky blood if only an android can give him a blood transfusion.

Torch: "Ah, the sky scraper sized monster is now unconscious, the police can deal with it."
The Police: "What the &^$* are we supposed to do with this thing?!"

#1 line to never use in the real world: "What's a super-sleeping pill between friends?"

Should this story be in the Golden Age reading order?

Seemignly all Golden/Early Silver Age marvel comics restrict themselves to 3 types of punctuation: < ... >, < ? > and < ! >. Reads like everyone is screaming all the time (when they are not taking dramatic pauses).

Oh, and also: everything looks like a publicity stunt. Even if the city is trashed like every other week by super-villains, this is ALWAYS the first guess in the people's mind.

Elevated from 1-star to 2, because it was nice and short.

I actually really liked the Un-Human's design. It would be neat if later on in the order it was revealed that S.H.I.E.L.D. or someone just took the Un-Human away to lock up for later, and didn't destroy it. Won't hold my breath, though...

Where is Hank Pym when we need him? Maybe we could shrink him down to a small mansion-sized monster?
